Nikon's AF-S NIKKOR 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR is an advanced standard zoom lens. While designed for FX-format it is also compatible with DX-format DSLRs. You will enjoy stunning performance from wide-angle to super telephoto perspectives with an 18 in minimum focus at every focal length. This lens sports Nikon's VR II image stabilization which compensates for camera shake providing up to 3.5 shutter speeds stops of shake control to enable handheld shooting in dim light and at telephoto focal lengths. 

Superior Construction

There is even a Silent Wave Motor for smooth and near silent autofocusing and M/A focus mode in order to quickly change between manual and auto focus control. Nikon designed this lens with two extra-low dispersion elements and three aspherical elements which reduce aberrations to provide sharp, color-accurate images. The glass has been treated with Nikon's Super Integrated Coating - an optical lens coating process that maximizes light transmission while enhancing clarity and contrast.

Silent Wave Motor (SWM)

Nikon's Silent Wave Motor technology provides rapid auto-focusing while remaining exceedingly quiet and accurate. "Traveling Waves" are transformed into a rotational energy that focuses the optics. The result is a smooth and silent focus with minimal mechanical movement. 

Aspherical Design

Internal Focusing (IF)

The Internal Focusing feature allows you to focus a lens without changing its size. With IF lenses all optical movement is restricted to the interior of the lens barrel, providing for a lighter, more efficient design. Faster focusing is produced by a lighter and compact focusing lens group.

Vibration Reduction (VR)

Super Integrated Coating

The Nikon anti-reflective coating is an optical design feature which ensures superior clarity and image brilliance, even in poor or unfavorable lighting conditions. Nikon applies the anti-reflective coating through a special process, layering the lens surface in order to substantially reduce unwanted flare or ghosting. This process helps to ensure incredibly rich image contrast and true color fidelity.
