Nikon 55-200MM F/4-5.6 ED IF Af-s DX VR Vibration Reduction Zoom Lens - 2166
Nikon's AF-S DX Zoom-NIKKOR 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED is an advanced and versatile telephoto lens which delivers a 3.6x zoom range. Uniquely engineered to be both lightweight and compact, this is a telephoto lens that is convenient enough to take along with you anywhere. Designed exclusively for DX-format SLRs, it offers a 35mm equivalent focal length of 82.5-300mm. Nikon packed this lens with features such as Super Integrated Coating and two ED glass elements used in this lens minimizes ghosting and flare to provide even higher contrast and more vivid images, even in challenging light conditions. There is a Silent Wave Motor for smooth and silent autofocusing. Additionally, it will focus as close as 3.1', has a 52mm front filter thread, and features a 9-blade rounded diaphragm for smooth out-of-focus elements.
NIKKOR G LENS NIKKOR's G line of lenses are specifically engineered with no aperture ring. This enables easier operation and leads to less mistakes because the aperture does not need to be set to a minimum.
Nikon's Vibration Reduction technology
provides superb image stabilization for handheld macro shooting. This lens administers exceedingly clear,
natural images that remain crisp at greater distances. With the extended focal length, you will
enjoy enhanced quality in any photographic situation.
SUPER INTEGRATED COATING The Nikon anti-reflective coating is an optical design feature which ensures superior clarity and image brilliance, even in poor or unfavorable lighting conditions. Nikon applies the anti-reflective coating through a special process, layering the lens surface in order to substantially reduce unwanted flare or ghosting. This process helps to ensure incredibly rich image contrast and true color fidelity.
INTERNAL FOCUSING (IF)
Nikon's Internal Focusing feature allows
you to focus a lens without changing its size.
With IF Lenses all optical movement is restricted to the interior of the
lens barrel, providing for a lighter, more efficient design. Faster focusing is produced by a lighter and
compact focusing lens group.
EXTRA LOW DISPERSION GLASS (ED) Nikon's Low Dispersion technology is engineered to reduce chromatic aberrations, eliminating the tendency of light of different colors to focus to different points at the image plane. This means your images will come out crisp and clear, with less of a chance of defracting light into an unwanted rainbow of colors. Take shots exactly like you want, without any flare-up or blurring.
A-M SWITCH This switch is an element which locks the focus ring during autofocus, allowing the behavior to mimic a manual focus lens in manual focus mode. When the focusing ring is rotated with a sufficient load you will experience convenient manual focusing maneuvers.
SILENT WAVE MOTOR (SWM) Nikon's Silent Wave Motor technology provides rapid auto-focusing while remaining exceedingly quiet and accurate. "Traveling Waves" are transformed into a rotational energy that focuses the optics.
