Classic Pattern

Photographing an industry-standard ColorChecker Classic target is an important step in achieving consistent and predictable colors during a photo shoot. When used in conjunction with Camera Calibration software, it allows you to create DNG/ICC profiles that take into account the prevailing lighting conditions, thus achieving consistency, predictability, and repeatability of colors in every photo in the session and from every camera used. The 24-field classic pattern also offers the possibility of visual color comparison. Include the pattern in the photo session, open the pattern photo in your photo editing program, and treat it as a reference for color correction. Each of the 24 master color fields represents the colors of natural objects, such as the blue of the sky, skin tones, and the green of leaves. The samples reflect light the way natural objects do. Each field is individually pigmented to achieve pure, smooth, and saturated colors without discoloration or admixtures of other shades.
