The Ricoh Pentax XW 16.5mm Eyepiece is used with high-grade spotting scopes. It offers high performance and clear wide-angle. The latest addition to the successful SMC Pentax XW series, it features an 85-degree apparent angle of view and 20mm eye relief to deliver comfortable and clear viewing.
Top Quality for Stunning Images
By incorporating high-refraction, extra-low-dispersion lanthanum glass elements, the XW 16.5 produces stunning images having minimal aberrations. It compensates for the spherical aberration of the pupil to reduce the disturbing blackout effect.
Efficient Light Transmission with Pentax-Original Multi-Layer
The lens surfaces that come in contact with air are specially treated with the Pentax-original multi-layer coating, and the laminated surfaces are treated with innovative partial coating. This treatment allows efficient transmission of light (up to 90 percent, and 96 percent at 550nm) over the visible light spectrum.
Advanced Light-Shielding Technology Delivers Better Image Contrast
The XW 16.5 features a light-shielding diaphragm at the most effective position. Pentax’s advanced computer simulation technology reduces internal reflections to produce high-contrast images.
Durable and Weatherproof Construction
With a JIS Class 4 weatherproof construction, the XW 16.5 can be used under drizzle or under night dew. However, it is not designed for underwater use, and submerging it underwater should be avoided.
Sleeve Size and Design of Eyecup
This eyepiece has a sleeve size of 50.8mm (installment diameter) and if you remove the screw-on eyecup, you can find the screw thread with a 43mm diameter and a 0.75 pitch.
