Audio-Technica AT-F7 Dual Moving Coil Phonograph Cartridge
For over 50 years Audio-Technica has worked alongside leading figures in broadcasting and music to develop and hone a wide range of products with the highest level of audio. The Audio-Technica AT-F7 Elliptical Nude Stereo Turntable Cartridge is a 0.2 x .07 mil elliptical stylus phonograph cartridge designed for compatibility with 1/2" mount that will have you loving the true sound quality that only vinyl records can supply. It features a dual-magnet design to give you excellent channel separation and extremely low distortion for outstanding tonal and audio quality.
Elliptical Stylus
The Audio-Technica AT-F7 cartridges' stylus features a .02 x .07 mil elliptically shaped tip of the stylus cone with an aluminum cantilever. This intuitive design allows for more precision than a conical tip, improving frequency response, phase response, and lowering distortion. The nude rounded shank construction has a lower mass than bonded styli and tracks more accurately. The grain oriented nude styli last longer than your typical styli.
Dual Moving Coil Design
The Dual Moving Coil on the AT-F7 Phonograph Cartridge has superior clarity and transparency of tone, better defined transients, precise stereo imaging and lower distortion than magnet designs. The MC design features 2 coils attached to the stylus, and move within the field of a fixed permanent magnet. The coils are much smaller than moving magnet cartridge coils and made from very thin copper wire. This results in a very lightweight design, allowing for a better response and a more detailed reproduction. Neodymium magnet and permendur yoke dramatically improves electrical generation while PCOCC coils give you high separation and wide-response. The high-rigidity Vibration Controlled mold combines with potassium titanate to completely minimize unnecessary vibration.
Superior Sound
The AT-F7 Cartridge has 2g of tracking force for just the right amount of pressure on the vinyl. With 27 dB of channel separation and a frequency response of 15 Hz to 50 kHz, you can be sure of accurate and detailed audio reproduction. The AT-F7 uses 0.07 mm diameter stainless suspension wire, which stabilizes the fulcrum position and enables auditory lateralization to provide excellent expression of the high-frequency range. A center shield plate located between the left and right channels reduces crosstalk for minimum noise.
