Audio-Technica AT-OC9ML/II Dual Moving MicroCoil Phonograph Cartridge
For over 50 years Audio-Technica has worked alongside leading figures in broadcasting and music to develop and hone a wide range of products with the highest level of audio. The Audio-Technica AT-OC9ML/II MicroLine Nude Dual Moving MicroCoil Phonograph Cartridge is a MicroLine stylus phonograph cartridge designed for compatibility with 1/2" mount that will have you loving the true sound quality that only vinyl records can supply. It features a dual moving coil design to give you increased channel separation and extended frequency response range to deliver extraordinary audio quality.
MicroLine Stylus
The Audio-Technica AT-OC9ML/II cartridges' stylus features a square shaped nude tip of the stylus cone with an gold plated boron cantilever. The MicroLine stylus duplicates the shape of the cutting stylus used to produce the original master disc to enable it to track portions of the groove other styli cannot reach, resulting in extremely accurate tracking of high frequency passages and ruler-flat frequency response within the audible range. The tip of the diamond allows a contact surface of around 115 μm2.
Dual Moving Coil Design
The Dual Moving Coil on the AT-OC9ML/II Phonograph Cartridge has superior clarity and transparency of tone, better defined transients, precise stereo imaging and lower distortion than magnet designs. The MC design features 2 coils attached to the stylus, and move within the field of a fixed permanent magnet. The coils are much smaller than moving magnet cartridge coils and made from very thin copper wire. This results in a very lightweight design, allowing for a better response and a more detailed reproduction. High-flux samarium cobalt magnet dramatically improves electrical generation while PCOCC coils give you high separation and wide-response.
Superior Sound
The AT-OC9ML/II Cartridge has 1.5g of tracking force for just the right amount of pressure on the vinyl. With 31 dB of channel separation and a frequency response of 15 Hz to 50 kHz, you can be sure of accurate and detailed audio reproduction. A center shield plate located between the left and right channels reduces crosstalk for minimum noise.
