Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro is an advanced technology, handheld 6K digital film camera with 6144 x 3456 Super 35 high-resolution HDR sensor, dual native ISO, EF lens mount and direct recording to USB‑C disks. This powerful model includes additional pro features such as EF lens mount, built-in 2, 4 and 6 stop ND filters, adjustable tilt HDR touchscreen with a 1500-nit brightness that’s ideal for use in bright sunlight, and a larger NP-F570-style battery for longer run time. It also includes two mini XLR audio inputs and accepts SD card and CFast media, and supports external USB-C media disk recording. DaVinci Resolve Studio is also included for editing, color correction, audio post and VFX. You can even add an optional OLED viewfinder. Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera is better than a simple video camera because it has professional features allowing you to create the same look as Hollywood feature films. High-Resolution Cinematic Digital Film Sensor

The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro uses a large Super 35 sensor with 6144 x 3456 native resolution that allows shooting with a shallow depth of field and anamorphic lenses. Whether you’re shooting in bright sunlight or in almost no light at all, the 13 stops of dynamic range with dual native ISO up to 25,600 provide stunning low noise images in all lighting conditions. It let you shoot up to 60 fps in full resolution or 120 fps windowed.

Built-in ND Filters

The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro features high-quality, motorized IR ND filters that let you quickly reduce the amount of light entering the camera. The 2, 4 and 6 stop filters have been designed to filter both optical and IR wavelengths evenly, eliminating IR contamination of the images.

Shoot Incredible High Dynamic Range (HDR) Images

This camera has an incredible 13 stops of dynamic range which means it preserves more detail in the lightest and darkest areas of an image than simple video cameras can.

Dual Gain ISO for Exceptional Low Light Performance

The 6K Pro camera features dual gain ISO up to 25,600, which means it’s optimized to minimize grain or noise in images, while maintaining the full dynamic range of the sensor. The native ISO of 400 is ideal for scenes with on-set lighting. The secondary high base ISO of 3200 is perfect when shooting in dimly lit environments.

Shoot Still Frames up to 21.2MP

In addition to shooting video, the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera can capture high resolution stills. Simply press the dedicated stills button to record 21.2-megapixel images. Still images are saved as fully uncompressed DNG frames, so you get the maximum image quality, which is perfect for making professional prints.

Storage and Recording

The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera features built in CFast and SD UHS-II card recorders, and a high-speed USB-C Expansion Port for recording direct to an external media disk. You can use regular SD cards for HD or higher performance UHS-II and CFast cards for native 4K or 6K when using Blackmagic RAW.

Large 5-Inch LCD Monitor

A large, bright 5-inch touchscreen makes it easy for you to frame shots and accurately focus. On screen overlays show status and record parameters, histogram, focus peaking indicators, levels, frame guides and more. You can quickly apply 3D LUTs for monitoring shots with the desired color and look. The LCD monitor is a more advanced HDR display that can be tilted up and down so it's easy to monitor your shot from any position. It features 1500 nits of brightness, ideal for use in bright sunlight!

4 Built-in Microphones and Professional Audio Inputs

With professional, high fidelity audio recording built in you'll never have to carry around a separate sound recorder again. Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera features a mini XLR input with 48V of phantom power for connecting professional microphones such as lapel mics and booms. It also features 2 mini XLR connections, allowing you to record 2 separate audio tracks using 2 mics, without an external mixer.

Built-In Timecode Generator

Professional cameras include professional features and you also get a built-in timecode generator, allowing shooting with more than one camera while keeping perfect sync.

Back Panel Controls

Conveniently placed below the right thumb rest, you can quickly change shooting speed with the high frame rate button, zoom into the image with the magnifying glass, access setup menus and quickly play back shots for review.

Power Options

The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro uses NP-F570 batteries. A locking DC power connector is used so you won't have to worry about losing power during a shoot. Plus the included AC plug pack can power the camera and charge the battery simultaneously. You also get a set of international socket adapters for worldwide use. Even the USB-C expansion port can trickle charge the battery, so you can use portable battery packs, mobile phone chargers or laptops. The optional battery grip lets you add extra batteries to dramatically extend the power of the camera so you can keep shooting all day.

This camera includes DaVinci Resolve Studio software that’s used for creating high end feature films, episodic television shows, commercials and more.
