DJI RS 3 Gimbal Stabilizer
The DJI RS 3 Gimbal Stabilizer provides solo creators and independent crews with a versatile and efficient filming experience in every detail. It's slim and light, with excellent stabilization and control for more creative flexibility and unlimited possibilities. When you're ready, the DJI RS 3 is ready to go.
Plates with a Quick-Release Mechanism
Mounting a camera to the RS 3 is quick and easy with dual-layered quick-release plates, and there's no need to re-balance the gimbal after swapping out a new battery or memory card. When changing lenses, a newly incorporated fine-tuning knob on the tilt axis allows the camera to glide forward or backward with millimeter-grade precision, making correct balancing easier.
Automated Axis Lock
The RS 3 allows you to get up and running quickly. When you push and hold the power button when the gimbal is turned off, the three axes unlock and the gimbal extends automatically, allowing you to begin working in seconds. The axes automatically lock and enter sleep mode when you press the power button once, making transit and travel much more efficient. It will fold and lock automatically if you press and hold the power button.
Shutter Control through Wi-Fi
The RS 3 provides wireless shutter control thanks to Dual-Mode Bluetooth, which saves time and effort with every use. You may control video and photo shooting by just pushing the record button on the stabilizer after the initial Bluetooth hookup. After the initial use, previously paired cameras will automatically rejoin, removing the requirement for a camera control cord.
Excellent Weight-to-Payload Ratio
The RS 3 may be comfortably held in one hand, weighing only 1.3 kg/2.8 lb (with gimbal, battery grip, and quick-release plates), yet its 3kg/6.6 lb load capacity is more than enough to carry mainstream cameras like the Sony A7S3 or Canon R5 with a 24-70mm F2.8 lens.
Algorithm for 3rd-Generation RS Stabilization
The RS 3 provides greater stability in any condition thanks to a next-generation RS stabilization algorithm. Laboratory testing demonstrates that RS 3 is 20% more stable than RSC 2, allowing you to comfortably manage low-angle pictures, running scenarios, and moving between high and low locations.
Beyond Smooth
Turn on SuperSmooth mode if you want even smoother results. The RS 3 will increase motor torque to improve stabilization even further, resulting in stable film even in fast-moving situations or while using 100mm-equivalent focal lenses.
1.8-Inch OLED Touchscreen
In comparison to the RSC 2, which has a black and white screen, the RS 3 has a 1.8-inch OLED full-color touchscreen with an 80 percent larger display. With the revamped user interface, it also supports most Ronin app settings, offering straightforward and accurate control.
Mode Switching in a Flash
You may switch between Pan follow, Pan and Tilt follow, and FPV modes by sliding the new gimbal mode switch. The FPV mode selection may also be changed to 3D Roll 360, Portrait, or Custom, allowing you to fine-tune your setup and get flying quickly.
Customizable Front Dial
You can regulate zoom and focus by rotating the front dial. It may also be programmed to control the shutter, aperture, ISO, or gimbal movements of the camera, making it ideal for single-handed use.
Monitoring via Smartphone
The RS 3 supports the Ronin Image Transmitter (previously known as the Ronin RavenEye Image Transmitter) to transmit 1080p/30fps HD live feeds directly to a mobile device. The maximum transmission distance is 200 meters and the end-to-end transmission latency is as low as 60 ms. A smartphone can also be attached to the NATO port on RS 3 with the phone holder for wireless monitoring.
Integrated Monitoring and Control
To achieve an integrated monitoring and control experience, alter camera exposure directly in the Ronin app or manipulate the gimbal with the virtual joystick.
Quick-Release Design
In comparison to the RSC 2, the new RS 3 battery grip has a quick-release design, making it easier to swap batteries and smaller for storage. It can even be charged without the use of the gimbal.
12-Hour Run Time Plus Quick Charging
The new battery grip has a 12-hour runtime, which is sufficient for continuous shooting throughout the day. It supports 18W PD fast charging and takes only 2.5 hours to charge. It can even be used to keep the RS 3 powered practically indefinitely while charging.
