Canon's EF 70-200mm f/2.8L USM Lens is an advanced telephoto zoom lens that comes with a constant f/2.8 maximum aperture. Offering a 1:6 maximum reproduction ratio this lens consistently delivers high resolution quality images.  Canon incorporated such features as four Ultra Low Dispersion glass elements which help to combat the effects of chromatic aberrations across the entire range.  Its Internal Focusing system is paired with the Ultra Sonic Motor to ensure smooth and precise silent autofocusing.  There is even a focus range limiter which lets you set the range of focus distance which enables shorter focusing times. The two ranges are 4.9' to infinity and 9.8' to infinity.  This lens can focus as close as 4.9' (1.5 m), accpets 77mm filters and includes a removable tripod collar and is compatible with the Extender EF 1.4x II and 2x II.

Ultra Low Dispersion Glass (UD)

Internal Focusing (IF)

Internal Focusing lenses ensure maximum stability by moving the inner lens groups when focusing.  This allows the lens physical length to remain constant while achieving perfect focus.

Range Limiter

The Focus Range Limiter enables you to set a limit on the focusing range, saving you time rather than letting the lens "hunt" through the entirety of the range.  In macro lenses this limit can be either the near of the far range.
