The Stereo Microphone DM-E1D is a compact microphone accessory for compatible EOS cameras that include a multi-function shoe. The Stereo Microphone DM-E1D easily mounts to the multifunction hot-shoe creating a digital connection to the camera. This means that no internal battery or cable connecting the mic to the camera’s mic port is required, helping you utilize the mic longer and also no impediment in using the vari-angle screen to its full range. It features a number of directional controls to suit the environment and your shooting needs. Shotgun mode keeps audio focused on a subject directly in front of the camera, such as when interviewing someone for a documentary. The Stereo (90°/120°) mode captures audio over a wide area for more ambient sound, ideal for nature scenes or entire orchestras. Adjusting the mic controls is as simple as pressing the menu button on the back of the microphone and using the touchscreen LCD on the back of the EOS camera to change settings. Whether you’re looking to capture an interview, record a concert or simply capture the sights and sounds of nature, the Stereo Microphone DM-E1D pairs wonderfully with a compatible EOS digital camera to help you achieve impressive audio.
Digital signal output suppresses noise
Since the Stereo Microphone DM-E1D connects by using the multifunction shoe on compatible cameras, no wires are required. This greatly reduces any chance of “buzzing” or “noise” in your audio signal.
3 types of directivity: Shotgun, 90°, and 120°
The Stereo Microphone DM-E1D is equipped with three types of directivity for optimum recording according to your needs. For example, shotgun for interviews, 90° for all-purpose situations, or 120° for recording a concert or chorus. You can easily switch between directivity modes using the menu screen on your camera.
No battery needed
The Stereo Microphone DM-E1D is compact and lightweight, in part due to the fact there is no battery required for charging, with the multi-function shoe supplying necessary power to the microphone when it’s connected.

Set and use a variety of controls and functions using the MENU button located on the back of the DM-E1D to get the desired audio.

Returns are incredibly simple. Please log into your account, find your item you wish to return and follow the prompts to make a return. If you do not have an account, click here to find your order and make a return.

You will receive a full refund when you return an item in its original manufacturer’s packaging, undamaged and unmarked. If the item you are returning is priced at less than $35, you will be charged a 15% restocking fee. Please note you will not be refunded any shipping charges.

You have 30 days to make a return. During the holiday season, from November 1 to December 31, we extend the return window to 60 days.

If your order has been noticeably damaged in transit, we strongly recommend that you refuse delivery and notify us immediately. Claims for missing items or items damaged in transit must be made within 48 hours of delivery.
