Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM Telephoto Zoom Lens
Canon's EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM Lens is a powerful telephoto zoom lens that is a favorite of professionals and amateurs alike. Canon loaded this lens with advanced optical features including Fluorite & ultra-low dispersion lens elements reduce aberrations and contribute to high resolution, high-contrast imaging. Its capabilities are further bolstered by the incorporated of Dual Mode Image Stabilization which provides up to 4 stops of correction at all focal lengths and features two modes for stabilization of still objects and while panning to follow moving subjects. This is paired with an ultra sonic motor for smooth, silent and precise autofocusing. A focus range limiter lets you set the range of focus distance which enables shorter focusing times. The two ranges are 3.9' to infinity and 8.2' to infinity. It is dust and moisture resistant and designed to keep on going even in the most challenging of environments. This reliable lens creates a 34° - 12° angle of view, a 3.94' minimum focusing distance and accepts 77mm filters.
Canon L Series
The L Series denotes Canon's professional line of lenses. Though used extensively by non-professionals, these lens have been engineered to the highest of standards. These luxury lenses incorporate such advanced optical advantages as Super Low Dispersion Glass, Ultra-Low Dispersion Glass, flourite elements and aspherical design elements. All of these combine to produce reliably incredible images.
Super Spectra
Canon's Super Spectra coating is uniquely engineered for digital cameras to surpress the flaring and ghosting commonly caused by reflections from digital camera sensors.
Dual Mode Image Stabilization (IS)
Lens features Optical Image Stabilization technology, a feature that employs an innate, built-in mechanism in order to compensate for camera shake. The IS II Optical Image Stabilizer provides up to 4 stops of correction at all focal lengths and features two modes for stabilization of still objects and while panning to follow moving subjects. By eliminating natural shakes and sways with camera movement your images will come out crisp and clean every time.
Range Limiter
The Focus Range Limiter enables you to set a limit on the focusing range, saving you time rather than letting the lens "hunt" through the entirety of the range. In macro lenses this limit can be either the near of the far range
Manual Focus
Manual focusing means you have all the control at the end of your fingers. Canon lenses feature a specially designed ergonomic construction that is noticeable at first touch. The large rotation angle of this lens guarantees precise focusing. The mechanism moves super smoothly and without extra play.
Fluorine Coating
Canon L Series lenses feature a fluorine coating on the front and rear surfaces. This coating helps to greatly reduce smears, smudges or fingerprints ensuring that you will always take impeccable images.
Ultra Sonic Motor (USM)
Canon's USM lenses employ a motor powered by ultrasonic waves that produce a quiet, yet high-speed AutoFocus. You can enjoy high performance with low noise in a variety of shooting situations.
Anti-Reflective Coating
The Canon anti-reflective coating is an optical design feature which ensures superior clarity and image brilliance, even in poor or unfavorable lighting conditions. Canon applies the anti-reflective coating through a special process, layering the lens surface in order to substantially reduce unwanted flare or ghosting. This process helps to ensure incredibly rich image contrast and true color fidelity.
