Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS III USM Lens
The Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS III USM Lens provides high image quality with one fluorite element and five UD elements. It is highly resistant to dust and water, and has an improved durability even in harsh conditions. A fluorine coating on the front and rear elements helps reduce smears and fingerprints.
Focusing Distance
The lens has a minimum focusing distance of 3.9-feet/1.2m. It has full-time manual focus, and an inner focusing system with ring ultra-sonic motor.
Optical Image Stabilization
The lens has Optical Image Stabilization at up to 3.5 stops of shake correction.
Air Sphere Coating
The Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L IS II USM Lens has an air sphere coating (ASC) that minimizes ghosting and flare.

Very nice addition to your Glass.
I use this for portraits, landscape, events, and family. It can actually be used as a point and click camera. Seriously, this thing focuses quickly and I have not ran across any distortion, let alone the operator's, regardless of what my composition, er lack of sometimes, is. It shoots sharp, fast, focused.

Great for the landscape photographer
Excellent lens for the landscape photographer. It is big and heavy to accommodate the f2.8 capability so be sure you need the f2.8. I like this one a lot. You will capture great images with this one.

I really haven’t used it yet other then two test photos. The lens glass looks great to me, and both focus , zoom rings are nice and smooth.
I can say that the only negative that I have was the price. Buy once cry once I say, sometimes you get what you pay for.

The greatest thing since sliced bread.
This lens gives such an incredible range of situational uses. From having a beautiful portrait with a shallow depth of field to getting use of a full 200mm telephoto reach. Coupled with the 2x extender it can really do amazing things. I think the biggest thing that shocked me was how incredible this lens is in low light. Shooting with a Canon 1DX MKIII.

Best purchase I’ve made in awhile
As expected this lens is truly amazing and a great addition to any photographers kit. Definitely pretty heavy to carry around but that’s to be expected. Would highly suggest to anyone who may be on the fence.

Simply the best!!
I have purchased each version of the 70-200mm, the third version is by far the fastest AF system. This lens is also lighter than its previous versions. I am satisfied with this purchase and would recommend everyone to buy the 70-200mm III !!!

My Favorite Lens
I bought this lens a month ago and I'm amazed how good it is. This lens is built like a tank, all metal, but not so heavy that it's tiring to carry. The focus is very quick, even in low light settings. The pictures are amazingly sharp. Makes perfect portrait shoots as faces come out tack sharp and the background has the perfect bokeh.

Tack sharp lens
I purchase this lens and took some shots, it has very accurate fast focus for both out door and indoor, images are tack sharp and excellent color rendered. I don't care it has the same optic line up same as Mark II, as long as it can produce excellent images, why should I care about same optic line up as said by some reviews ?

Mark three Just OK
My old 70-200mm 2.8 IS finally died after a decade. So I upgraded and it’s about the same soft on a lot of shots even when stoped down to f/4 (used w/ 1Dx). Still heavy. On the plus side the auto focus does seem to be quieter when using it with an on camera mic for video.

Great indoor lens with low light
I purchased this lens to shoot horses and equestrian events, these are typically in low light conditions especially in the winter. The performance has been nothing short of spectacular. You have to really pay attention since the subjects are constantly moving but the results speak for themselves. Great essential lens in my opinion.

Poor Indoor Performance
I bought this lens for shooting sporting events, both indoor and outdoor. In outdoor light it seems to work fine, but it is very disappointing indoors. I've probably thrown away half the shots I've taken with it. Autofocus is very slow and erratic. Not you what you expect for the price.

Disappointed
I've had this lens for 18 months. The focal ring constantly comes loose and impacts image quality... especially when I'm moving around and shooting sports and fast moving objects. I feel like my Tamron is far more reliable.
