Canon EOS Rebel T7 DSLR Camera and EF-S 18-55mm IS II Lens Kit

Canon EOS Rebel T7 DSLR Camera and EF-S 18-55mm IS II Lens Kit SKU: 2727C002

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great entry digital SLR camera. Great entry digital SLR camera with bright viewfinder and full manual control for students of photography. I added a Cannon 40mm 2.8 for point and shoot. But a beginner should add a 50mm prime lens IMO. Get the bulb cable for long exposures for maximum creativity. I have found manual focus useless compared to my film cameras, the autofocus just works.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great camera for beginners and amateurs. Bought a month ago. Love it. I bought the refurbished camera and used the special deal to buy the 70-300mm zoom lens. I love the presets and the auto-focus. I am a total amateur and have used the presets to take some pretty good pictures. If I ever want to enter my own settings I can do so. This is a great camera for amateur photographers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from T-7 bundle All in all, a pretty solid deal on this bundle...... The only thing i would improve is the camera bag which comes in the bundle. Its nice and lightweight, but doesn't feel like it will last the long haul.... We shall see. The camera is a really good entry level DSLR and the items in the bundle are all useful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Okay, sorry Don't post my previous review. I am tired, and finally figured it out. I had to disable the wifi, if I connected it to my computer. I did that, and it automatically gave me the option to download my pictures. I'm relieved, because I love my camera.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from If you sell this in stores, you should offer support for the productTh This was a replacement camera for an old digital rebel. Same sort of camera, just updated a bit, because I hadn't been able to use my old one for several years, it was broken, and this was the most affordable one available... can I connect this to my new computer? NO. I used to be able to just plug in a cord (had to use my old one, because this one didn't have one), and download my photos. It doesn't work that way now. Can I connect it to my computer via the wifi it is connected to? NO. Can I get my photos off here at all? I managed to transfer a few to my phone, but that doesn't help me here. I need them on my computer. I can't return this, because the company that sold it to a family member, doesn't allow returns on opened electronics. I loved my old camera, but I can barely use this one. I've downloaded programs from the site, including one that is supposed to connect to the camera via wifi (?) and nothing is working, so I cannot use the photos I take. This is incredibly disappointing, we can't afford a newer camera, and this used to work! My model that didn't have wifi, that is.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointed. Really. I was given this camera as a gift and was so excited to have my first personal camera after borrowing for years. I was HIGHLY disappointed that there was no audio input to the camera. I need that audio input too. Other than that, it’s a good starter camera for photo. Just not video (which I needed it for).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice upgrade I bought this the other day because the lens on my other Canon died. It only made sense to buy the entire camera instead of paying $$$ out the butt for the lens only. I love this one, slightly upgraded with nice features. I'm happy! :-)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I'd like to use external flash. My Altura external flash will not work on this but will my other cameras. Anyone know why?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Missing Feature--Why NO GPS My wife bought this for me, Christmas this year, as archaeology is my hobby. It was to replace an older Pentax that lacked GPS. She was assured the Rebel EOS T7 had GPS. Wrong! I lack the courage to tell her that she paid money for something that she did not get.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Startup for beginners I bought a t6 three years and with a program from those professional photographers courses, if this t7 is anything like the t6 it will be a great investment

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Only records 12 minutes of video Nowhere in the advertising I read did it say the video recording was limited to 4 gig or 30 minutes, which ever comes first. However that is the case. There is a hack using an intervalometer, but the shutter button needs enabled. Canon has even blocked that. Does take great pictures, but should not have been advertised as being video capable. Dishonest IMO

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Canon rebel 7 I hate this camera! Upgraded from Rebel 3 and has the same issues. Cheaply made.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from kit sucks No memory card and no cord to connect to the computer and their site does not tell what cord is required or what memory card is needed. I have a camera and now I have to buy these unidentified parts.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent entry level camera, but has a huge flaw My wife bought me this as a Father’s Day gift in 2020. As the intensity of my hobby grew I started to purchase new lenses, filters, and accessories. One accessory was a “universal” speed light. Unbeknownst to me the Rebel t7 was designed to work with ONLY cannon flashes. No other camera maker does this. This small but extremely frustrating flaw is a major reason why my future cameras we not be Cannons. I’ll probably go with Sony for my future purchases. I am disappointed with Cannon and hope other potential customers are made aware of this intentional design flaw prior to making a purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Still learning and having fun I replaced an old Rebel XT that took great pictures albeit at 6Mp. Quality was still better than my cell phone at 12Mp. I already had the standard 15-55mm lens and a 400mm telephoto. Haven’t ventured out of automatic settings yet. I also have difficulty using the viewer. The shot seems delayed. Maybe someone can tell me what I am doing wrong. It has worked flawlessly. I put a 128GB sd chip in and I should be able to take over 10,000 pictures with no worry. I guess having “an eye” is not something easy to learn. I would recommend this for anyone who would like a less grainy long distance shot. Optical zoom is 100 times better than digital. Going on 17 years as a Canon owner (laser printer also). I am anxious to see what I can scrounge out of our upcoming European vacation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid little beginner camera For the purposes of taking still frame art reproduction photos, it is a solid beginner camera. The photos i took worked out really well shooting strictly with natural light (no professional lighting system) and moderate editing in lightroom.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't regret buying. Pretty good camera, getting used to its functionality and all of its features. The wifi works great and helps with my needs. I find myself panicking any time the lighting changes slightly, but it's easy to chase settings when the sun comes and goes. I wanted something good, but not overly expensive, and this is getting the job done.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Camera just stopped turning on I've only had the camera for a year and it just one day decided it wasn't going to turn on anymore. The camera has never been dropped, left on or anything. After doing some research this a common problem with all Canon cameras. Apparently, the battery compartment mechanisms are faulty (poorly made). Unfortunately, the year warranty is over so I'm stuck with an expensive useless camera. I wish I would've just spent the money on upgrading my smartphone. The cameras on the phone are way easier to figure out and the picture quality is just as nice.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from EOS Rebel T7 Bundle for Beginners This bundle is great, it does not include the cord that connects to your computer so that must be bought separately. Other than that this bundle was a great buy!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not sharp Not as sharp as I expected. Pictures up close are still blurry.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not a complete kit Product should come ready to use. Please include a Memory card or sell it as" most of a kit." Happy with the product but frustrated that it could not be used Christmas Morning.
Date published: 2020-12-29
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy this camera if you plan on attaching a flash Canon is now manufacturing this and other models to not allow any 3rd party flash or flash attachments to work with the camera. That means you have to buy their products. Trouble is their products are super expensive and they don't have everything you might need! I bought 2 of these for my school to show students how to use studio lighting. Canon does not make any flash adapters that I can use to trigger my studio lights. I have wasted hundreds of dollars of my school's money on these cameras.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ease of Use, Excellent pictures I bought this camera yesterday after having the original EOS Rebel for about 10 years. It was like going from walking to running. I am not a professional photographer, but I am the family photographer. It is so easy to use. I love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Camera I have ever had! I have owned dozens of Canon Cameras from professional film ones then pocket digital point and shoot. I consider myself a semi professional and love this camera. It does everything from manual settings to totally automatic. The pictures are great, the down load is a breeze. It is so simple to operate, it took me a few minutes to figure it out. The owners manual is very clear and simple to follow. The lens is perfect for most photos but I will be getting the longer zoom lens in the near future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great investment I’m so happy with my purchase! I think I got a lot for my money! Down to the editing software which is expensive alone! & I got 5 of them. The camera shoots great pics. I’m beyond happy with my decision. I can’t wait till I’m better to explore diff lenses that I will be purchasing from Focus. They’re delivery time was speedy & no issues. Thank you focus camera!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great camera! Needs to include SD card. It was a really great camera for a beginner. However, it doesn’t include an SD card which I think it should. So technically, it’s not ready out the box.
