Solid feel and construction.
I purchased this adapter after having issues with an adapter my local camera shop sold me to connect my new camera with older glass. The other adapter worked fine for about two or three weeks but after using that adapter on the daily, the lens and the camera had trouble talking to each other. I could feel a wobble, loose connection between the lens and the camera, when I held the camera on it's back and slightly wiggled the body, the lens would rock a tiny bit, causing the lens and the camera connection to break contact slightly. After purchasing the Canon Mount adapter, the connection felt strong, no wiggle. I have not used the new adapter on the daily for more than two weeks because my new lens arrived and my need for the adapter wasn't necessary.
To be fair, I had the original adapter on the camera 100% of the time, with the lens attached constantly. After all, why would I disconnect the lens adapted when I expected to use the exact same setup the next time I needed the camera for a shoot? With gear stuffed into the bag and transported to different locations daily, the treatment wasn't gentle, but not rough. I expected the adapted to be able to withstand daily use.
The Cannon adapter seems much more solidly built. I wish I could report the canon adapter stood up to constant abuse, but with my new lens, RF 14-35mm, the adapter is just not as neccessary. But I do feel much more confident having the Canon mount adapter in my bag.

Excellent
After seeing so many bad reviews of the third party lens adapters for the EOS R5, it was a no brainer to purchase the Canon adapter. In the past I have always purchased Canon brand accessories and have never had a single complaint.
The adapter fits perfectly. It fits tight but, not too tight. No problems with connection to the lens, no focusing issues at all.

Definitely if you need the EF adapter for your R camera (mine is an R5) you need to stay with the Canon version. Don't skimp on the adapter since your lens is way more costly as is your camera.

Not really much to say about this, does an excellent job connecting my old EF lenses to my new R6 body. The only thing I wish it could do and it may well be a firmware issue in the R6, please give me the 12 frames per second.
