How Does the System Work?

The point-to-point Break-Beam Sensors can immediately detect motion. When paired together, one of the sensors becomes an emitter that sends out an IR beam which is received by the other sensor. Whenever something passes between these sensors, the beam is broken and motion is detected. These sensing terminals can be mounted up to 300 feet apart. Once activated, the sensors send a signal to the DCR-4000 Receiver up to 1 mile away that automatically triggers an alarm to alert you.

Ideal for Outdoor Applications

The sensors are not affected by small objects such as falling leaves or birds. You can mount them high enough to avoid dogs and other animals. This system is ideal for outdoor applications such as storage lots, lumber yards, car dealerships, and more.

Power Source

The break beam sensors are powered by lithium-ion batteries that are recharged through the solar panels during the day – no need to run wires for power. The DCR-4000 receiver can be easily placed on a table or mounted on the wall, and can be powered by a 12VDC transformer (included).

Expand Your System

You can add multiple sensor pairs to the DCR-4000 receiver and monitor up to 12 zones, if you wish to set up a perimeter. Each sensor pair can be programmed with a different tune allowing you to easily distinguish between zones from where the signal has been detected.
