The GFX100S features a newly developed shutter and In-Body Image Stabilization (IBIS) system, which helps you take full advantage of the camera’s 102MP imaging sensor. Despite the size reduction, the GFX100S offers impressive performance and the new shutter is fully capable of 5fps continuous shooting. The five-axis IBIS works in conjunction with GF Lens Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) that provides up to 6 stops of correction.

The GFX100S features an advanced phase detection autofocus (AF) system and an updated autofocus algorithm that brings subjects into focus as quickly as 0.16 sec, even in light levels as low as -5.5EV. The phase-detect autofocus pixels across nearly 100% of the frame provides accurate results regardless of where the subject is. Even in low-contrast situations, the GFX100S lets large format photographers enjoy reliably accurate AF as it combines responsive tracking and reliable Face/Eye Detection.

The GFX100S takes high-resolution photography to a whole new level. It features a super-tough magnesium-alloy casing that can be operated in temperatures as low as 14°F (- 10°C). The compact design is dust- and weather-resistant and weighs less than 2 lb (900g). This design is comparable to many full-frame cameras, but it includes an incredible, 102MP sensor that’s almost twice the physical size of the typical full-frame sensor.
