Solid upgrade from the Fenix 3
I am impressed with the variety of tracking apps available and I appreciate being able to choose which ones I want. Yes it does take some time to configure up front but then I’m not scrolling through 30 sports I’ll never track everyone I’m wanting to start an activity.
It’s comfortable to wear and has done everything I’ve asked from it.

Love
Had a fenix 5 for over 7 years and used it daily. Just bought the epix pro gen 2 and couldn’t be happier. Love the amoled face. Battery life is forever. I really couldn’t say anything negative about it.

Pleased Enough To Buy 2
Purchased my original Epix Pro a year ago and purchased a second one with the titanium band for wearing to dinner and other occasions so I can always keep track of my body metrics 24X7 for my coach. I find this watch very easy to use and comfortable enough to sleep with for nighttime tracking. Always look forward to seeing my morning report!

Fantastic Watch but Screen scratch
This watch is fantastic for activity tracking and I really enjoy using it, but I am not even sure what I was doing and just noticed that I have two scratches already in the screen and haven’t even had it a month. Don’t think the sapphire is as good as they claim

Great watch!
I bought my Epix Pro (Gen 2) a month ago, and I simply love it. I come from the Apple ecosysten, but this watch is something else. Totally recommended.

Performance
Bought the Epix pro Gen 2 51 mm sapphire edition in February and have not worn anything else since. I also own an Apple ultra 2 which doesn’t compare in battery life and performance to my Epix. Screen is big and bright and easy to read. Epix is a far better watch to work out in and also navigate with.

A Game-Changer for Active Lifestyles!
I’ve had my Garmin Epix Pro for a while now, and I can confidently say that it’s been nothing short of a game-changer. From its sleek design to its incredible functionality, this watch has exceeded all my expectations.
First and foremost, the **display** is absolutely stunning. The AMOLED touchscreen is vibrant and crystal clear, making it easy to read even in bright sunlight. Whether I’m tracking my workouts or checking the time, the clarity and brightness are unbeatable. The colors are rich, and the screen responsiveness is top-notch, truly setting it apart from other smartwatches on the market.
As for the **features**, this watch has everything I could ask for and more. It’s packed with advanced fitness tracking tools, including heart rate monitoring, GPS, and a variety of activity modes for runners, cyclists, swimmers, and hikers. I love that it offers detailed metrics, helping me keep track of my performance and progress. The built-in maps are a lifesaver when I’m exploring new routes, and the watch's long-lasting battery ensures I’m never left stranded during long outdoor adventures.
Additionally, the Garmin Epix Pro’s **smart functionality** is impressive. It seamlessly integrates with my smartphone for notifications, music controls, and more. The seamless experience makes it an essential tool for both fitness enthusiasts and those looking for a well-rounded smartwatch.
In short, the Garmin Epix Pro has elevated my fitness routine and everyday life. With its stunning display, incredible range of features, and solid build quality, this watch is truly in a class of its own. If you’re looking for a premium smartwatch that offers both performance and style, I cannot recommend the Garmin Epix Pro enough!

Definitely the watch for trails and hiking
I chose the epic pro gen 2 over the Apple Watch Ultra 2 for: detailed maps (great even for skiing) which are free download, more accurate heart rate monitor (similar recording to a chest heart monitor strap) and training plan (running and biking). Except for a better quality of the screen, a minimal upgrade from my fenix 7.

it better last more than 2 years this time...
My wife and I have been dedicated Garmin watch users for 4 years now. Our Venu 2 watches were great for 2 years until they began to show signs of battery degradation. Then we purchased Instinct 2 watches and they were wonderful until 2 years when the battery stopped holding a charge. We would have serviced them but Garmin offers no such option. Now we have rolled the dice on "premium" Garmin watches. This titanium and sapphire better not end up in the landfill in 2 years or I will be finished with Garmin watches.

Great features but screen takes some adapting
Very pleased with large touchscreen and software features. New screen is very difficult to see in bright sun while wearing dark glasses. Wake-up with wrist flick is not very sensitive. All this makes frequent HR checks on the go a bit problematic.

The perfect watch!
Using it daily 24/7. Main advantage it has no mic! The battery Last for 3 weeks, for 3 times workouts a week. I would expect Garmin to continue developing great watches but with an option without a mic and speaker...for geb 3...

It has some great features ... but ...
It is a great watch. Battery lasts for weeks. It is also quite expensive.
There are some drawbacks though. Like non Garmin watch faces can really slow down its responsiveness. Some functionalities, like ECG are not available in EU.

Great features, Garmin policies ruin it
Does what it is advertised for, although it is not that sturdy as my Fenix 5X Sapphire was.
Now, the main issue I have is Garmin advertised it as if it will support EKG most likely in the EU as well, but apparently, Garmin stepped away from that commitment which I find unfair and discriminatiory against its European buyers.
The other thing is the software. Nothing surprising, but out of the box the ConnectIQ store did not allow me to install any software as it was requiring an update. I updated the watch software yet it still was the case. After I signed up to their Beta tester program the beta firmware solved that issue. But then leaving the beta program, I cannot roll back to the stable tested firmware practically, which is a ridiculous thing. Garmin could do so much better than that, but it just cannot. Quite disappointing.
Last disappointment: I purchased the watch in the official Garmin Hungary webshop. Got a 10% accessory coupon and when I was about to use that, turns out it is not available to use in Hungary. What a joke that is again?!

Great Upgrade from Fenix 6
I bought this a month ago as I was jealous of the better backside sensor and screen of my partners' Venu3S. I've really enjoyed the significantly better battery life including using nightly SpO2, ECG, Wrist-Based Running Power, and the Morning/Evening Reports!

Tough Device with Super Powers
Purchased this watch about a month ago. My initial attraction to it was the battery life, most smart watches last about 24 to 36 hours before requiring charging. This implies that I needed to carry a charger on trips, who needs that if your on a weekend camping adventure! My two-year-old smartwatch had a battery that wasn't hold a charge for more than eight hours, and the manufacturer wanted more to replace the battery than what I paid for the watch! So, I started my hunt. Per recommendation by outdoor enjoying friends I started with Garmin. But the clincher was I had just invested in an InReach MINI 2 and found out it integrated with some of the Garmin watches. The decision on my EPIX PRO came from YouTube videos comparing EPIX and FENIX Garmin products. None of them duplicated all the features of my current watch, in particular, I can't answer my phone. I was willing to give up the phone feature for the battery-life feature. The EPIX has most all of the other features, but some came with a functional twist. The EPIX also had added benefits in the navigation area that my old watch did not. The icing-on-the-cake is the InReach integration of the MINI 2. The learning curve is steep. Garmin needs to do a better job on producing How-To Videos for these devices. Some of the confusion comes from the multiple ways to get to the same functions, why not just one menu and one quick access favorites menu? So, I'm spending a lot of time on YouTube learning. The biggest reason for four and not five star rating is the notification system. If I receive a text, or if an alarm goes off, the watch vibrates and make a tiny-soft sound. I now miss 80% of my notifications! The watch needs a louder sound mechanism, this is a big issue with me, but not a deal killer because of all the other features. I need to hear my alarms and know when I have new notifications come in. The marketing info you see in advertisements are accurate otherwise. The display is bright, crisp, and clear. This was important for me because of my poor eyesight. Even the navigation maps are easy to read. The watch faces are very customizable. The touch screen works as it should, and the pushbuttons have a nice tactile feel. I am still learning how to use this watch to its fullest, and I am already happy. And did I mention it also works with the Garmin Varia bike radar? Another plus! Linking up with the MINI 2 and Varia was effortless and successful on the first try. My conclusion at this point is yes, there are big features I gave up (Phone answering and loud audible notifications), but great advantages keep me happy (battery life, display, device integration, navigation features). I would recommend this watch for any outdoors enthusiast and workout enthusiast who enjoy utilizing high tech approaches. A note about battery life, the watch saves power by turning off its display and GPS when not needed. If you use the navigation feature while hiking, running, biking, you will notice you've lost a day or two of battery life depending how long your GPS activity lasted.

I received this watch as a Christmas gift and it is everything that I had expected. I've used it for golfing and my regular workout so far. The large 51mm watch face makes seeing golf course data easy. Looking forward to using it for skiing.
