The Google Home Wireless Speaker (White Slate) has integrated Wi-Fi connectivity, voice recognition and support for home automation technology. In addition to voice control, you can control the Google Home using a free downloadable app or the touch surface on the top.

Smart Command

Google Home lets you voice-control your music. Tell your speaker to play a song, podcast or radio station from services including Google Play Music, Spotify, YouTube Music, Pandora and TuneIn. You can also voice-control connected smart devices such as Chromecast, Nest and Philips Hue, doing things like adjust the room temperature or dim the lights. The intelligence of the Google Home also lets you take advantage of Google's most well known feature -- the search engine. There is a mute button on the back that puts the Google Home's microphones on standby, and it keeps the Google Assistant from being triggered even if you say Ok Google. Four indicator lights let you know whether the unit is active.
