With 5 watts of power and 16 channels per zone - both Analog and Digital zones that are pre-programmed with the same 16 channels, these radios offer Kenwood's Nexedge technology featuring 6.25 kHz digital narrowband operation. Nexedge was designed to provide advanced communication solutions with a range that is about 25% greater than the standard 5 watt analog models.

The Kenwood ProTalk radios boast noise free signal throughout the entire range. The rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides up to 12 hours on a full charge and the unit provides coverage for up to 370,000 square feet, 33 floors or up to 7 open miles of range.
