The Korg Monologue Monophonic Analog Synthesizer takes the intuitive layout and innovative sound engineering of the popular Korg minilogue and adds updated features for bass-driven, more powerful single-voice sound. The 25-key Korg Monologue features voicing and sound sculpting abilities that were not available in its predecessor. The more aggressive, 2-pole VCF filter, deeper, more rapid low frequency oscillator, and additional analogue drive circuit allow you to produce and shape fuller notes with more bass. In addition to standard tuning, the Monologue also offers a microtuning capability that was designed by electronic music legend Aphex Twin in cooperation with Korg. The Korg Monologue's panel has a powerful, center located step sequencer that allows sequence editing as well as creation and the same straightforward knob-per-function interface that makes the Korg Minilogue so appealing to musicians of all levels. Ease of Use

The knob-per-function workflow of the Monologue single-voice synthesizer lessens the learning curve for this instrument so new musicians can spend less time memorizing functions and more time crafting their sound. The large step sequencer is positioned right in the center of the interface for a simplicity that even seasoned electronic musicians will appreciate. The sequencer offers 16 buttons and allows you to edit existing sequences as well as create new beats.

Tuning

The Monologue keyboard is geared towards guitarists and bassists with E to E tuning. In addition to the standard factory tuning, Korg has partnered with electronic music sensation Aphex Twin to create 12 slots in which you can program your own microtuned scales. Microtuning allows you to use adjust your instrument to play tones that exist within the standard 12 interval-per-octave scale. The Korg Monologue's microtonal capability will feel like switching from a standard to a high definition TV.

Sync with Audio Sync

In addition to 5-pin In/Out and USB MIDI, monologue includes Audio Sync connectivity, which allows it to play in time and integrate seamlessly with KORG volcas, electribes, minilogue and SQ-1. Use the monologue with your DAW as both a USB MIDI controller or a versatile analog voice. Send clock over USB and use Audio Sync to chain monologue’s clock to other Audio Sync-equipped products.

Oscilloscope Visualizes the Sound and Sequence

The OLED display will show the waveform in real time as you sculpt your sound. Visual feedback is both educational and entertaining, and represents a first on a hardware synthesizer. The monologue offers motion view that visualizes the value levels for the motion-sequenced parameters. See your motion sequence as it happens.
