Nikon Forestry Pro II Laser Rangefinder/Hypsometer
Nikon upgrades the Forestry Pro Laser Rangefinder to Forestry Pro II. The rangefinder utilizes a high-quality 6x monocular with multilayer coating produces bright, clear images. Featuring the same precision as the previous model, it offers a measurement range of 7.5-1,600 m / 8-1,750 yard / 25-5,250 feet. In addition to measuring the actual distance, it calculates the horizontal distance, height, angle and vertical separation, which is the difference in height between two targets. The three-point measuring system also calculates the height between two points. Results are displayed on both internal and external LCD panels, with the external LCD displaying all results simultaneously. The results are displayed within approximately 0.3 seconds on the internal display.
External Display
The external display offers easy visibility even in dark situations, such as for forestry. The backlight brightness can be adjusted up to three levels for added convenience. The log function enables up to 250 measurement results to be stored. The measurement result is displayed within 0.3 seconds on the internal display. Plus, the log function helps store up to 250 measurement results.
Target Priority Switch System
The Forestry Pro II Laser Rangefinder provides a Target Priority Switch System for measuring overlapping subjects. First Target Priority mode displays the distance of the closest subject — useful when measuring the distance to a subject in front of an overlapping background. The Distant Target Priority mode displays that of the farthest subject — useful in wooded areas.
Waterproof and Fogproof
The laser rangefinder offers waterproof performance up to 1m/3.3 feet for 10 minutes and is fogproof too. However it is not designed for underwater usage and the battery chamber is rainproof.
