Nikon Z 9 Mirrorless Digital Camera (Body Only)
The Z 9 features intuitive subject detection, thanks to an algorithm that uses deep learning to automatically detect and track a wide range of subjects. Easily track people, pets, birds, automobiles, bikes, train and planes, no matter if your recording video or capturing stills or videos. Auto focus and auto exposure calculations are made by the camera at 120 cycles per second, making it so you can easily track unpredictable subjects like flying birds.
3D Tracking and Starlight Mode
Deep learning also allows the Z 9 to perform flawlessly with 3D tracking. With no effort you can track fast moving subjects as they move towards you, away from you and anything else in between. General subject detection and auto focus works all the way down -6.5 EV.
Nikon EXPEED 7
This is Nikon's newest and most powerful engine ever. Faster than the previous version, it can handle complex auto focus and auto exposure calculations. It also separately processes dual-streamed data from the stacked image sensor.
Just takes one press
The Z 9 captures 45.7-megapixel stills at an action-freezing 30 fps and press-ready 11-megapixel stills at an insanely fast 120 fps. With its bottomless buffer, the z 9 can also shoot continuously for more than 1,000 frames at 20 fps. This can be done as full resolution High-Efficiency RAW or JPEG (L) fine files.
Fast write speed and virtually silent
Nikon designed a new type of latching door with two matched slots optimized for high-performance CFexpress Type B cards. Since the slots are independent from each other, you can use cards with different write speeds, including XQD cards. Z 9 's electronic shutter features minimal rolling-shutter distortion, eliminating the need for a mechanical shutter. With this, you can shoot at shutter speeds up to 1/32,000 seconds in silence with no shutter vibration or shutter wear. Silent mode lets you turn off menu sounds, VR Lock, and lessens lens drive noises.
Jawdropping 8K video
The Z 9 has a body design that dissipates heat, allowing you to records lush 10-bit 8K UHD video at 24, 25 or 30 fps internally for over 2 hours straight. This is a temperatures of 23 degree-C/73.4 degree-F. You can also capture 33MP frame grabs right from that footage. The Z 9 also records dense 10-bit 4K UHD footage in-camera with full pixel readout from the Z 9’s outstanding sensor at 24, 25, 30p as ProRes 422 HQ or H.265 video. Or create dramatic 4K UHD slow motion sequences up to 120p.
Enhanced electronic VR
The intelligence and processing power within EXPEED 7 improves electronic VR for video recording, correcting trapezoid distortion from wide angle lenses and allowing you to create smooth handheld walking shots.
Stunning 45.7-megapixel image quality
The Z 9 can bring ultra-high-resolution image quality to high-speed shooting applications. This is not only thanks to its 45.7-megapixels full-frame stacked CMOS sensor but also thanks to its super fast scanning sped and 12x faster data readout. The Z 9 delivers advanced Vibration Reduction (VR) with Synchro VR where 5-axis in-body VR and 2-axis lens VR work together, achieving an effect equivalent to a shutter speed up to approx. 6.0 stops faster.
