Nomatic McKinnon Camera Sling Bag (8L)
The Nomatic McKinnon Camera Sling Bag is the perfect camera sling designed for any adventure.
Easy to Use
With the same durable and water resistant materials as our McKinnon camera bag 25L, the Sling 8L has enough space to fit a mirrorless or small DSLR with an extra lens comfortably. We built the opening with a rigid wireframe construction for quick access and full visibility. There is a quick-latching system to make accessing your gear with one hand a breeze. On the inside of the door, there is an elastic zippered mesh pocket, and dedicated pockets for memory cards and camera batteries.
Portability
Between the padded strap, and the pivoting shoulder strap to carry how you want (shoulder bag, cross body or sling carry) this sling was designed for maximum comfort. The back of the sling has an EVA foam formed back panel for comfort and air flow. There is a roller luggage pass-thru to give your shoulder a rest while traveling. On the front and bottom of the sling, there are external molle straps if you need to carry more like a tripod or jacket.

Great bay for camera protection on trip out

This camera bag is great for on the go whenever I’m out on a shoot or location it’s easy access and my favorite feature is the string to clip for when I don’t have the second to fully zip the bag it holds things in place perfectly without compromising things from falling out of bag.

Best Everyday Carry for Photographers!!
I use this sling when I don't need MCKINNON CAMERA PACK 25L. It provides the perfect amount of space required for on-the-go, and its ease of access is excellent. I highly recommend it!

Best Sling Ever!
The greatest feature of this sling bag is the water resistance. When going on adventures where I'm walking long distances in high-precipitation environments, I like to pack light. With the sling bag, I'm able to do so, and it's saved my equipment on several occasions. Durability is a must on my checklist whenever I'm searching for packs to keep me organised and protect the gear: This is that product. Whenever I'm not wearing the sling bag, I still bring it with me on shoots to transport my delicate equipment. Though space for camera equipment could be limited depending on what you're carrying, there are still plenty of compartments for the essentials like batteries, SD Cards and filters as well as a pocket for cash or other small paper items.

Excellent design
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fantastic for smaller cameras and lenses. This was a bit too small for my R5 and R6 with the ridiculous size of the R lenses. However, it works perfectly with my Fuji camera and lenses. This would probably work great with Sony cameras and lenses as well.

Great sling!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used a peak design 6l sling for a while, but really needed something that opened up much wider and has a little more room. This one fit the bill and is excellent! There’s a couple things I like much better on the peak design, like the strap itself and the exterior zipper pocket. I do wish this actually came with the auxiliary straps shown in the photos, but it does have a stabilizer strap that the peak didn’t. I bike a lot and that’s a godsend.

Great bag but if only..
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love love the sling but it’s 2L just to small… if this was a 10L bag… I mean that’s the right size for something like this. That would just be enough for my mavic 3 and mini 3 to fit together but now I can only get a mini3 with the pro controller.

Awesome Bag!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sling is the perfect grab and go bag. I holds my Nikon D750 with a 28-300mm zoom lens, 5 canisters of 120 film, 50mm lens (not shown because it was in the camera that shot the photos), extra batteries, lens wipes, caps, etc. It’s easy to pull my camera in and out and keeps it tucked away when it in use and when in shooting with the Pentax 67. This bag is well made, stylish and meets my needs perfectly. It could easily hold my Canon A-1, power winder, 2 FD prime (50mm and 24mm) lenses and a 36-106mm lens on the camera.

Almost Perfect
While this is my favorite sling to date- it's almost perfect. It is a great carry going on small shoots and tryna pass off as lowkey. Love the internal strap to do one handed and to not constantly zip up and close and open so I'm not too much of a disruption. Love the small organization inside with the dividers and small zipper and battery/memory card, I can personally fit my camera body, a zoom and a prime. I do wish it did come with small straps to carry a tripod with, (not a dealbreaker- but straps do sell separately that should've just came with instead I use from a different bag I own), the armstrap does not dethatch off which makes packing into another bag a slight hassle, could have been a slight size bigger and or come with an external secondary zipper.
Overall for the price, it is a bit more expensive new.

Best designed sling available, but with one flaw.
Absolutely beautiful, and functional. I love this bag. I love how it opens up and stays open to give access to all your accessories.
My only complaint is that it doesn't fit my setup. I use a Sony A7ii with Tamron 35-150 f2-2.8 and with the lens mounted, there isn't enough space for a second lens. But it's only by about 1". If it were 1" wider, I'd be able to fit the Sony 16-35 f2.8 in there and it would be the perfect setup.
My only other complaint would be that the filter pockets only fit the filters themselves. Would be awesome to be able to fit the 82mm filters in their cases in the pockets.
Would be awesome to see another version that's a little bigger to be more full-frame friendly. All it would need it 1" wider, like I said, or 2" deeper(taller?), Then you could drop the camera straight down in with the 35-150 and have plenty of room for even 2-4 more smaller lenses! That would be incredible!

Great sling but 100% not water proof/resistant
I do like the overall function of the sling. It’s quite comfortable but when I read it esas water resistant I imagined it would be okay in light rain. After hiking a couple hours in light rain I opened the sling and saw that all of my gear was soaked.

Superb Unmatched Quality
Let me start by saying that I have a problem with bags, satchels, slings, backpacks. But now that I’ve purchased a camera, it was time to take things more serious. I searched for a few weeks, read lots of reviews and landed on this site, with this sling, perfect for my use! It has all the bells and whistles you’d want from a quality product and much more. I am currently looking to purchase the bigger backpack that fits this sling inside.

Perfect size for a sling bag
I carry a Fuji XT5 with a 50mm f/1.0 lens and a Leica Q2 Monochrom, and they fit just perfectly. The bag carries well. I'm very happy in all respects!

Incredible
Been using this sling to carry my R5 and 24-70 lens, portable charger, cash, and some medicine while traveling throughout Pakistan. It makes it easy to pull out my camera quickly for video/photo and be able to put it right back. Highly recommend to anyone that travels a decent amount and likes to document their travels like me!

One liter too small
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Beautifully made and well thought out, it’s just a bit too small to accommodate a mirrorless camera, 2 (small, non-zoom) lenses, an iPad mini, iPhone and little wallet. Sadly this expensive bag stays on the shelf at home while my old 10 litre sling has come out of retirement

Well-designed bag but too small
The bag is high quality, love the choice of how to wear it, and especially love the on-handed open/closure of the top. However, we couldn't fit our camera in the bag, even with our smallest lens. We ended up sending it back, but with a restocking fee (that I wasn't aware of previously).

Practical & Comfortable
It was a great alternative to traveling with my Nikon Z7ii, 24-70 mm and 18-300mm lens and my sunglasses. If necessary, it fits perfectly in hand luggage. I forgot to buy the straps to hold the tripod under the Sling 8L: If you are going to buy it, do not forget to buy them.
