Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II 16MP Mirrorless Digital Camera (Body Only, Black)
The Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II is a powerful Micro Four Thirds Digital Camera in a compact body that delivers many advanced photographic features in a simple, intuitive design. While the E-M10 Mark II is an ideal camera for beginners, this is a camera system one can grow with. The E-M10 Mark II captures blur-free, high-quality photos packed into a compact classic-style body. It’s a camera you’ll want to take with you everywhere you go.
Sensor + Image Processor
For the new E-M10 Mark II, Olympus has paired a 16.1MP LIVE MOS sensor with the TruePic VII image processor. These two advanced technologies work in tandem to facilitate stunning high resolution still imagery and full HD 1080p video recording. This achieves exceptional low-light attainment and sensitivity to ISO 25600. High speed performance is carried throughout the camera system, driving a top shutter speed of 1/4000.
OM-D Movie capabilities are powered by this pair of technologies as well. The E-M10 Mark II offers 5 Full HD variable frame rates (60, 50, 30, 25 and 24 fps). User-friendly touchscreen operation allows you to customize your settings on-the-go while you are still recording.
5-Axis Image Stabilization
Olympus designed the E-M10 Mark II as the first entry-level interchangeable lens camera with the same 5-axis image stabilization system found in Olympus’s critically acclaimed high-end models. Blurred images are most typically caused by camera shake during manual operation. Now with 5-Axis IS the unwanted effects of camera shake are kept at bay.
OLED Electronic Viewfinder
Eye level viewing is made capable by the incorporation of a bright 2.36MP Electronic Viewfinder. The OLED VF is a good alternative to the back-of-camera display, especially when shooting in bright outdoor conditions. The OLED Electronic Viewfinder works in parallel with a large 3.0" 1,037k-dot tilting touchscreen LCD monitor is also available for live view monitoring, image playback, and menu navigation.
F.A.S.T. Touch AutoFocus System
Olympus has developed a contrast-detection focusing method which utilizes 81 AF areas in order to accurately, and virtually instantly, achieve focus. This Frequency Acceleration Sensor Technology (aptly called F.A.S.T.) allows the E-M10 Mark II to zero-in on subjects using either single-shot or continuous focusing methods. Touch AF lets you focus and release the shutter simply by tapping the area of the screen you want to hone in on, with virtually no time lag.
8.5fps Burst Shooting
The E-M10 Mark II delivers incredible speed and power in a compact form. It offers a high-speed sequential burst shooting ability of up to 8.5 frames a second. Fast moving subjects are rendered in a series of finely detailed sharp images. This high-speed shooting works perfectly with the system's super-fast autofocus.
