The LUMIX S 50mm F1.8 is a large-diameter standard lens compatible with all L-mount cameras for maximum versatility, yet it has a compact size and weight. Ideal for a wide range of photography, from landscape to portraits and snapshots, this lens uses three aspherical lenses to achieve both high depiction performance and beautiful bokeh. The LUMIX S 50mm F1.8 is comprised of nine lens elements in eight groups including three aspherical lenses, one ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) lens, and one UHR (Ultra-High Refractive Index) lens. The use of three aspherical lenses realizes both high descriptive performance and beautiful bokeh, which are common advantages to the series of all F1.8 lenses. It is suitable for snapshots including portrait to landscape.

The ED lens effectively suppresses chromatic aberration. The LUMIX S 50mm F1.8 also excels in video recording performance with a mechanism that suppresses focus breathing, which was a fatal problem of all interchangeable lenses designed for still image photography. Together with a micro-step aperture control for smooth exposure change, professional-quality video can be recorded.

With its compact, approximately 300g of lightweight, the LUMIX S 50mm F1.8 features stunning mobility. The rugged dust/splash-resistant* design withstands use under harsh conditions even at 10 degrees below zero for high mobility. The filter diameter is 67 mm, with a 9-blade circular aperture diaphragm.

The LUMIX S 85mm f/1.8 is a large-aperture medium-telephoto fixed focal length lens, compatible with all L-mount cameras for maximum versatility. It enhances portrait photography with its beautiful bokeh effect in a compact and lightweight body. Comprising of 9 elements in 8 groups, the 2 ED (Extra-low Dispersion) lenses effectively suppress both axial chromatic aberration and chromatic aberration of magnification. The LUMIX S 85mm f/1.8 provides smooth defocus gradation from the focus peak to the neighboring area of the image as well as smooth, round bokeh of point light source without vignetting.
