The Tamron SP 70-200mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 Lens for Nikon F is a fast telephoto zoom lens that provides faster autofocus and Vibration Compensation for an improved version of the Tamron f/2.8. This lens provides up-to-date technology and features as well as advanced optics. This Model A025 lens is an upgrade to the Model A009 lens, having been improved in nearly every way. You will get superior fast telephoto shooting with the SP 70-200mm f/2.8 G2 zoom lens. This lens provides more flexibility and innovative technology for a better fast telephoto shooting experience.

Impressive Optical Performance

With high resolution and beautiful bokeh, the SP 70-200mm F/2.8 G2 zoom lens is improved over the previous model in every way. It has high image quality and enhanced, refined bokeh. This lens uses XLD (eXtra Low Dispersion) and LD (Low Dispersion) glass to eliminate chromatic aberrations across the zoom range. This provides optimum resolution, even at the edges of the frame. Tamron designed eBAND Coating exclusively for this new zoom lens. This coating provides better anti-reflection technology for reducing flare and ghosting. Finally, the refined bokeh delivers superior background effects from almost any angle.

Reduced MOD

Improvements to the new SP 70-200mm f/2.8 G2 extend well into the lens barrel. Tamron has reduced the MOD from 1.3m (50.7 in) in our older model to 0.95m (37.4 in), allowing a maximum magnification ratio of 1:6.1. The shorter MOD, coupled with the superb optical performance of this new zoom, allows you to significantly broaden your range of expression.

This lens was built for outdoor photography. With that in mind, it offers Moisture-Proof and Dust Resistant properties. The lens features special dust-resistant and moisture-proof sealants at every joint and seam. On the front of the lens is a fluorine coating to make it easier to wipe the lens clean, and it also makes the lens less vulnerable to damage from dirt and fingerprints.

VC Image Stabilization

The VC Image Stabilization of this SP Series lens provides performance equivalent to 5 stops, according to CIPA standards. This lens has three VC modes, including one exclusively for panning. Choose your mode based on your shooting condition and correct unwanted movements, even in low light.

This lens is constructed for durability and has a user friendly design. It has focus and zoom rings, textured grip and an Arca-Swiss style tripod interface for better speed and utility. The lens conforms to the SP series standard of providing an ergonomic and easy-to-grip shape, plus a lens hood with smooth curves that match the barrel.

Compatible Accessories

Add the optional TAP-in Console to connect the lens to your personal computer via USB and easily update the lens' firmware. You can also customize features using your PC, including making fine adjustments to the AF and VC. This lens is also compatible with two exclusive tele converters with 1.4x and 2.0x magnification, giving the lens a maximum zoom range of up to 400mm.
