Optical Design

The Sigma 85mm f/1.4 DG DN’s optical design uses five SLD (Special Low Dispersion) elements, one aspherical lens, and a high refractive index glass, which work together to correct aberrations that cannot be handled by the camera. Special emphasis has been given for correcting axial chromatic aberration to give you sharp images with no color bleeding even at the maximum aperture of f/1.4. The lens is capable of minimizing ghosting, ensuring clear, sharp images even when shooting in backlit conditions.
