This model can convert in both directions and in different standards! You can simultaneously convert SDI to HDMI and HDMI to SDI. It also supports camera control protocol conversion, allowing you to use professional SDI live production switchers with Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Cameras!

The free converter application, which can be downloaded from the Blackmagic Design website, can also be used to adjust settings and update the converter software. This software operates on both Mac and Windows computers and connects to the Micro Converter's USB port.

The Micro Converter 12G model has everything required for latest HDR workflows Simply connect an HDR monitor, projector, or tv, and you're ready to start monitoring HDR content! Static metadata PQ and Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG) formats in the VPID are handled according to the ST2108-1, ST2084 and ST425 standards.

Convert with Camera Control

You can use a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera with an ATEM SDI switcher thanks to the Micro Converter BiDirectional SDI/HDMI model's camera control. ATEM switchers send camera control over SDI, and the converter can translate this to HDMI for the camera.

Includes HDMI Timecode Support 

The Micro Converter variant is more advanced, with a new Blackmagic Design custom hardware design that supports the technical features vital to high-end broadcast operations. Support for HDMI and SDI timecode conversion is one of these features. In addition, timecode is fully supported in both standard and high definition video formats.

Perfect for Longer SDI Cable Lengths 

On the SDI output, the Blackmagic Micro Converter includes SDI re-clocking. Before the converter sends the signal to other equipment, SDI re-clocking regenerates the SDI video, reduces SDI jitter, and improves the SDI eye pattern. This allows longer cable lengths because even degraded SDI signals can still be used.
