The ST2108-1, ST2084, and ST425 standards are used to handle static metadata PQ and Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) formats in the VPID. This micro converter is compatible with ST425, which adds two new bits to the VPID to indicate SDR, HLG, or PQ transfer characteristics. Furthermore, the ST2108-1 standard specifies how HDR static or dynamic metadata is delivered over SDI. ST2082-10 and ST425 sources for 12G SDI and 3G SDI, respectively, are also supported. The colorspaces Rec.2020 and Rec.709 are also supported.

SDI Re‑Clocking. Perfect for Longer SDI Cable Lengths

This Blackmagic converter includes SDI re-clocking on the SDI output. SDI re-clocking will regenerate the SDI video, reduce SDI jitter and improve the SDI eye pattern before the converter sends the signal to other equipment. This allows longer cable lengths because even degraded SDI signals can still be used.
