Ergonomics
With its 5-inch woofer, the bass frequency response of the T5V extends to 45 Hz. The new U-ART tweeter, a breakthrough solution for use in high-resolution recording and mixing on a budget, goes up to 25 kHz and is mated to a precision waveguide with the same dispersion-control attributes as the high-frequency propagation (HPS) waveguide used in Adam Audio’s flagship S Series monitors. The waveguide’s highly uniform dispersion of high frequencies provides an incredibly wide sweet spot that frees you from being glued to a rigid mix position while working.
Mechanism
A beveled cabinet with a rear-firing bass reflex port and a small footprint allows placement anywhere in your room, no matter how small, and contains built-in DSP-controlled driver crossovers and equalization as well as multi-way analog connections. Powered with a 50 W Class D amplifier for the woofer and a 20 W Class D amplifier for the U-ART tweeter, the T5V produces SPLs of up to 106 dB per pair. Excellent acoustic characteristics, small dimensions, and an outstanding cost/performance ratio make this studio monitor perfectly suited for use in small control rooms in music, video, and broadcast production.
U-ART 1.9-Inch Accelerated Ribbon Tweeter
The new U-ART 1.9-inch accelerated ribbon tweeter, as used in the T Series, is made of a high-tech polyimide film and provides pristine and extended high-frequency response up to 25 kHz,virtually unheard of in monitors in this price range, and a breakthrough solution for use in high-resolution recording and mixing on a budget. Unlike a conventional dome or cone tweeter that uses a piston action to move air and reproduce sound, the U-ART tweeter uses a pleated ribbon that alternately draws air into its folds and squeezes it out like the folds respectively expand apart and press together in response to the inputted audio signal. This design produces four times as much air movement as does a piston-based design, creating higher sound pressure levels (SPLs) with lower distortion.
High-Frequency Propagation System
The HPS (High-frequency Propagation System) waveguide was initially designed at ADAM Audio for the S-Art of the S series range with the aid of the latest computer modeling techniques. It hones the dispersion of the speakers to an even, uniform consistency, broad in the horizontal axis but tightly focused in the vertical plane. This minimizes potentially distracting reflections from the horizontal surfaces of significant studio furniture (for example mixing consoles), ensures that imaging remains constant, and creates a large, well-controlled, and stable ‘sweet spot’, even at high output levels.
Pulse Width Modulation
The PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) sometimes referred to as Class D amplification, sometimes called Switching Amp Technology converts the incoming signal to a series of rectangular waveforms of equal height. The width of the rectangles varies in time and the relation of the width of the rectangles represents the musical signal. This waveform can be amplified much more simply, as the transistors are not modulated anymore; instead, they are used as switches that only turn the power supply voltage on and off. It is possible that a very fast mechanical switch could do the job, but power transistors are a better choice for the task, so PWM amplifiers still work pretty much like conventional Class AB designs.
Pig Hog PX-TMXM2 1/4-Inch TRS to XLR Male to Male Balanced Cable (10-Feet)
The Pig Hog PX-TMXM2 1/4-Inch TRS to XLR Balanced Cable gives you a male on one end, and a male XLR on the other. The Pig Hog Solutions line features an expanding selection of adapters and cables designed to solve common interfacing problems in the studio and on stage. The cable is manufactured to our high-quality standards to insure transparent reproduction of the source audio without any coloration or distortion. Pig Hog is designed by musicians, for musicians.
Knox Gear Studio Monitor Isolation Pads for 5-Inch Speakers (Pair)
Knox Gear Studio Monitor Isolation Pads are designed for speakers up to 5 inches. These laser precision acoustic pads ensure the best listening experience possible.
Configurable
Knox Gear Studio Monitor Isolation Pads may be configured in multiple ways--flat, tilt up, and tilt down positions. These varying positions allow for a better acoustic environment by enabling the speakers to be pointed directly at the listener.
Cleaner Sound
With Studio Monitor Isolation Pads, you get cleaner sound. Made of high quality premium acoustic foam, the pads reduce unwanted vibrations and low end distortion.
Knox Gear 25Ft XLR Cable Male to XLR Female Microphone Cable
Knox Gear 25FT XLR Male - XLR Female Microphone Cable, is professionally designed to prevent external interference and ensure signals travel rapidly and smoothly with minimum distortion, delay, or loss. These cables feature two 20-gauge CCAM conductors, which are twisted pair with cotton yarn fillers, conductive PVC shield with 100% coverage, and CCAM spiral shielding with 90% coverage.
