Samsung 256GB 860 Pro SATA III 2.5-Inch Internal SSD

Powered by V-NAND technology and a robust algorithm-based controller, the Samsung 860 Pro 2.5-Inch SATA III SSD can handle heavy workloads of high-end PCs, workstations and NAS (Network Attached Systems). It comes with a 256GB storage space and offers sequential read speeds of up to 560 MB/s along with sequential write speeds of up to 530 MB/s for enhanced performance. It comes with a SATA 6 Gb/s interface, which is backward compatible with SATA 3 Gb/s and SATA 1.5 Gb/s interface for versatility.

Smart Compatibility

This SSD offers a faster, more fluid communication with your host system. It features a refined ECC algorithm and MJX controller that generate higher speeds and improved queued trim for enhanced Linux compatibility. Samsung’s advanced engineering makes this 860 PRO series model more compatible with your computing system.

Samsung Magician Management Software

The Samsung Magician software helps you manage your 860 Pro 2.5-inch SATA III SSD with a simple and intuitive user interface. To maintain its superb performance, you can frequently check your drive's sequential and random read/write speeds or get notifications when new firmware is released and install the updates for enhanced performance, stability, and compatibility. You can also protect the stored data by selecting security options. The 860 Pro SSD supports AES 256-bit hardware-based encryption and is compliant with TCG Opal and IEEE 1667.

Returns

Returns are incredibly simple. Please log into your account, find your item you wish to return and follow the prompts to make a return. If you do not have an account, click here to find your order and make a return.
You will receive a full refund when you return an item in its original manufacturer’s packaging, undamaged and unmarked. If the item you are returning is priced at less than $35, you will be charged a 15% restocking fee. Please note you will not be refunded any shipping charges. 
You have 30 days to make a return. During the holiday season, from November 1 to December 31, we extend the return window to 60 days. 
If your order has been noticeably damaged in transit, we strongly recommend that you refuse delivery and notify us immediately. Claims for missing items or items damaged in transit must be made within 48 hours of delivery. If there is carrier damage, please contact support@focuscamera.com with your order number and a description of the damage.

We do not currently offer exchanges. Please return the item you purchased within 30 days and order what you’d like instead. 
If you ordered a kit, you must return all components and accessories to receive a full refund.

We currently only offer camera repairs at our Brooklyn store. The item must be dropped off and collected in person as we do not accept shipped items for repair. For more information, please call our Brooklyn store on 1.718.431.7900.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Blazing Fast Boot Up [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can't figure out why I was opposed to ordering my new computer with a Solid State Drive instead of a HDD. Perhaps I was leery of the technology. I since replaced the HDD with the Samsung 860 Pro Solid State Drive. Before it to several minutes for the system to boot, now it is almost instantaneous. The overall performance of my system has increased 100 fold. Kudos to Samsung for their continuously innovative products. They made me a believer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Couldn't ask for something better [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this product as a OS drive for my desktop setup. I love everything Samsung makes and Im basically a Samsung fan boy so I knew that this would be better than what I was expecting, and I was right to get this when I did! My PC boots up in a matter of a few seconds, transfer speeds are above expectations, running Photoshop and other heavy hardware dependent programs on it is a breeze. Everything runs so smoothly on this ssd! The programs that come with it are also very helpful! Allowing for customization of certain things and allowing me to monitor the health and sectors of the device with just 1 click! I really have nothing bad to say about this product! Samsung makes the best of the best and I wouldn't settle for anything else or anything less than Samsung quality! Thank you for an amazing product! Now back to fast loading times in games and photoshop >:]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Samsung makes the best SSDs on the market! What’s not to like when it comes to Samsung SSD’s? I have quite a few, including the 860 EVO, older 840’s and 850’s EVOs and PROs that seem to last forever, as well as the newer NVMe 960 and 970 drives which are easily the fastest drives on the market. Samsung drives always hit or beat the rated speeds in both the excellent Samsung Magician software and in Crystal DiskMark. Samsung’s free data migration/cloning software is second to none as it works every time, and I even use it to keep current boot drive backups using older Samsung drives. If I could save a few dollars on some other brand, I’d still buy the Samsung because of the level of confidence and benefits of owning them vs. other brands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2TB Samsung 860 Pro SSD ( 5 Stars ) Bought this 2TB Samsung 860 Pro SSD to replace my gaming notebooks 1TB Samsung 850 Pro Storage SSD. The 2TB Samsung 860 Pro has only slightly faster, average performance over all then the 1TB Samsung 850 Pro which is hardly noticeable for every day storage use. In fact, the 850 Pro even meets or beats the 860 Pro in some performance test comparisons (see uploaded Screen shots comparing performance test of both SSD's). The Samsung 860 Pro only comes with a 5 year Samsung Warranty vs. 10 years for the Samsung 850 Pro but the 860 Pro has a much higher durability rating. I replaced the 1TB Samsung 850 Pro with the 2TB Samsung 860 Pro b/c it has double the storage capacity but not for any other reasons b/c they're both the two best, fastest SATA III SSD's made in the world today.
