The Samyang 14 mm is a ultra wide-angle manual focus lens designed for both Full-Frame and APS-C cameras. 2 ED low dispersion lenses , one hybrid aspherical element and one glass aspherical element combine to minimize distortion and chromatic aberrations. Advanced optical construction allows this lens to deliver razor sharp images even in corners . The 14mm f/2.8 works perfectly even with latest high resolution, full-frame sensors. The lens is optically corrected, which is especially useful in architecture and landscape photography, and the 114degree angle of view allows the user to create extremely unique and interesting pictures. The Samyang 14mm F2.8 IF ED UMC Aspherical Lens features high build quality, with a built-in petal shaped lens hood to block any unnecessary light behind the camera. The Samyang 14mm F2.8 features a wide, ribbed manual focus ring which is smooth and well-damped. The optical construction is 14 elements in 10 optical groups with 3 high refractive index elements, 2x ED element, an aspherical hybrid element plus a aspherical glass element. The latest generation of anti-reflective layers: UMC - Ultra Multi Coated are incorporated to minimise flare and ghosting. The lens is supplied with a special front snap-on lens cap, rear lens cap, and soft lens case. An aperture control motor and CPU chip is installed within 14mm F2.8 ED AS IF UMC Canon AE lens to assist Auto Exposure(AE) for Canon cameras. The aperture can be controlled from camera body thanks to the motor and chip. Also the appropriate focus is guided with indicator light.
