Nice compact extra drive for Mac
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Portable, rugged, fast, and easy to set up and connect to my Macbook. Increased my storage exponentially. It is lightweight, and the transfer speed is quick! With 1 TB of storage, it should take me a while to fill up this storage device! The rubber bumper means I can throw it in my bag and not worry about it breaking or getting damaged.

Does not last 1 year - Twice the drive failed
The drive looks amazing, only reason I bought twice was because of USB C. first time, I thought it was accident, so i bought second drive. After 8 months, it failed again and data is lost.

Durable and secure
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this to back up family photos that are in the cloud. It's durable, easy to use and weather resistant. I'm not really worried about it getting damaged as we are keeping it at home, but can't be too safe I guess. It synced to my computer easily and backed up fast.

Portable,Compact and Fast !!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great hard drive. It is very compact and light weight.It is a perfect hard drive for working on the go. It's fast and durable. I needed a external hard drive to back up my files from my computer. This has become my favorite portable drive . Its pretty fast and I’ve transferred a lot of data from my laptop, freeing up space and I have all of my important docs at my fingertips with lots of free space left over. The external edges are cushioned,has a rubber bumper to withstand a long fall onto a hard surface. It is ready to go with Mac and also compatible with Windows via reformat.The greatest feature for me is the USB-C connector which is very easy to use,The connector is also protected by a silicone cover that’s very easy to put on and off. This one provides enough memory space with 1 TB and durability for traveling.
It is very responsive and most of all well made.100 % satisfied!!

I love it!

It is also rugged, so I can take it with me wherever I go! More than enough speed for me! And I'm not warried that it's going to break as it's so well protected.

Sturdy Drive
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Portable hard drive is a good size to carry. Case is made from sturdy aluminum with thick rubber on edges. This is great for keeping ports clean and gives the drive extra protection during accidental drops and rough handling. Drive did not show up on Windows PC, but worked immediately on Macbook. Transfer speed was good and having drive to backup files will be convenient. Having documentation with drive would be good to reformat for Windows.

The external hard disk drive has USB-C which copies files at 5Gbps for quick file transfer and storage requirements. It is USB 3.1 Gen 1 and Thunderbolt 3 compatible and the anodized aluminum enclosure provides strength and resilience to the HDD within. It is rain and dust resistance and has a crush resistance for 1000lb weight. It is ready to be used with Mac HFS+ and works well with Windows via reformat capability. A great handy ready to use HDD for every day use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a few days ago the SanDisk Professional 1TB G-DRIVE and it the perfect Hard Disk Drive to save your most important files, data, pictures etc...
In the package you will find the HDD itself and two cables, one USB-3, USB-C and one USB-C, USB-C. This is very handy because you do not need to buy extra adapters depending on your computer.
The bring up is more than easy, just plug it!!! If you have a windows system or a chrome book you need to format the disk preferably in NTFS for very big files.
The speed is there, it takes seconds to copy most of your files.
The real big plus of this HDD is its robustness, it is not afraid of a bit of water or falling in the ground. It makes it ideal to save you most important data.
I copy all my kids pictures and movies and all other important files on this disk.
If you are looking for a very reliable and robust HDD, I recommend this one.

Pretty Nice HD with Rubber Protection

The rubber bumper feature is a great feature to have if you are going to be traveling with it. All round a great hard drive and I would definitely recommend checking it out, especially if you are going to be constantly traveling with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This drive is very tough indeed. This is actually the second one of these drives I have bought. Both have been above exceptional for durability. The speeds are what you would expect from a USB 3.2 drive, in other words very reliably fast. Please note that your computer needs to have a USB 3.2 port in order to maximize these speeds, but with that said, even with USB 3.0 or 3.1 the speeds are still exceptional. If you are looking at buying this drive, it is a solid choice and you will not be disappointed.

G-Drive ArmorATD 5TB
This is my 2nd ArmorATD (4TB & 5TB). I use 'em for portable, encrypted, backup storage. Have no problems using with my Mac (OS X & Linux), and PCs (Win 10 Pro & 11 Pro). I reformatted each into two partitions (NTFS and exFAT) for extra convenience and compatibility with the encryption software I use. I have portable SSDs for the same use (G-Drive and MyPassport) I am under the impression that traditional HHDs are more reliable in ensuring the backup file integrity over time.

The instructions in the box is inadequate. No mention that this is formatted to work with Mac and need reformat with no instructions on how to accomplish that. However the person on the customer helpline sounds like from India was very helpful and got it done. Now it works beautiful

Will not work on my M1pro Macbook Pro
Works fine with my intel Macbook Pro 2015. Bought it for my new M1pro. It is a boat anchor. Does not show up on my iPad pro 12.9 either.

ArmorATD Won't Mount
I bought this Drive 2 weeks ago and I'm yet to use it because I'm having issues mounting it on my MacBook Pro. I get an error every time I try to mount or format it. It's a brand new drive, what should I do?

Very slow. Uses the old USB 3.1 technology. Why is the drive not offered with USB 3.2 Gen 2 technology for especially this price point? Bad value. Purchased and returned.
