This lens is specifically designed for the L mount camera systems. Compared to standard models, the 35mm f/1.4 DG DN | Art provides outstanding performance with minimal aberrations and excellent edge-to-edge sharpness, even at f/1.4 aperture. Featuring a stepping-type motor and a single focusing element, this lens provides a quick, smooth, accurate autofocus response while reducing the overall size and weight of the lens.

Advanced Features

The 35mm f/1.4 DG DN | Art includes on-lens controls consisting of a focus mode switch, AFL button, aperture ring, aperture ring click switch, and an aperture ring lock. The dust and splash-proof construction ensure that photographers can rely on it in any condition.

Exceptional Optical Performance

The lens features a compact design that incorporates 15 elements in 11 groups. The design features two Special Low Dispersion (SLD) elements, an Extraordinary Low Dispersion (ELD) element, an ‘F’ Low Dispersion (FLD) element, and two aspherical elements, and as well as other high-performance glass. The lens’ superior optical construction utilizes Sigma’s optical design technology, reducing all types of aberration including axial chromatic aberration, which cannot be corrected in-camera.

11 Rounded Diaphragm Blades

The lens features 11 rounded diaphragm blades which display smooth, round bokeh so that out-of-focus areas are not distracting. It is ideal for portraits, fully utilizing the lens' ultra-sharp image quality and minimal color bleeding. Thanks to Sigma's anti-ghosting and anti-flare technology, the lens also performs well in backlit conditions.

Fast and Quiet AF

The focusing mechanism in the Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG DN | Art utilizes a stepping motor. This motor controls a focusing lens group composed of a single, lightweight element, which means AF is quiet and can keep track of moving objects very effectively.

Easy to Use

The aperture ring on the body of 35mm f/1.4 DG DN | Art allows you to control the aperture via the lens, or when set to Auto, using the camera. The aperture ring can be de-clicked, allowing you to seamlessly adjust exposure. An aperture lock switch on the lens body allows the aperture ring to be locked in Auto so that it’s not accidentally knocked during shooting. 

Includes Petal Type Lens Hood

The included petal-type lens hood helps reduce flare and offers the lens an added protection during handling. It features a locking mechanism that keeps it attached securely to the lens, and its rubberized grip makes it quick and easy to detach/remove.

Durable Construction

The body of the 35mm f/1.4 DG DN | Art offers an excellent level of durability that photographers can rely on it in any condition. The dust and splash-proof structure seals all the buttons and joins between constituent parts, and there’s a rubber gasket around the mount. For added protection, it also features a water- and oil-repellent coating applied to the front element.
