The Steadimate-S converts a handheld motorized gimbal into a full body-worn stabilizer system by attaching a mechanical gimbal collar/yoke and weighted base to the post of the gimbal. This allows a spring arm and vest to connect and assist the stabilizer, greatly improving the overall functionality and reducing operator fatigue. The Steadicam arm reduces vertical bounce by providing z-axis stabilization, while the Steadicam vest provides operator comfort for long shots and long days by comfortably transferring all the weight across your torso and hips. Add creativity to your work by smoothly pushing the camera all the way to the ground and back up with ‘Low Mode’ capability. Increase panning finesse by performing smooth manual panning. The Steadimate-S is available as a kit paired with either the Steadicam A-15 stabilizer arm (15 lb support) and Steadicam Aero vest, or the Steadicam A-30 stabilizer arm (30 lb support) and Zephyr vest for larger camera packages. The mechanical gimbal collar/yoke and weighted base are also available separately for use with existing ½-inch post stabilizer systems.
Compatibility With Existing Arms and Vests
If you already have a Steadicam arm and vest combo you may be able to use it with the Steadimate-S with little or no modification. If you have a vest and arm listed below you will just need to buy the Steadimate-S gimbal and weighted base alone. Some arms require the purchase of a new ½-inch post as noted below. The weight capacity of any system is determined by the capacity of the arm. Solo arm and vest, Pilot arm and vest, Aero 15 arm and vest, Aero 30 arm and vest, Zephyr arm and vest, Merlin 2 arm and vest.
*Note: Arms and vests purchased with the original Steadimate system are also compatible.

Returns are incredibly simple. Please log into your account, find your item you wish to return and follow the prompts to make a return. If you do not have an account, click here to find your order and make a return.

You will receive a full refund when you return an item in its original manufacturer’s packaging, undamaged and unmarked. If the item you are returning is priced at less than $35, you will be charged a 15% restocking fee. Please note you will not be refunded any shipping charges.

You have 30 days to make a return. During the holiday season, from November 1 to December 31, we extend the return window to 60 days.

If your order has been noticeably damaged in transit, we strongly recommend that you refuse delivery and notify us immediately. Claims for missing items or items damaged in transit must be made within 48 hours of delivery. If there is carrier damage, please contact support@focuscamera.com with your order number and a description of the damage.
