Lens Construction

At the heart, the lens utilizes a composite optical design featuring 13 elements in 11 groups. It uses a large aspherical P-MO element and two all-glass molded Low-Dispersion (SD) elements that suppresses chromatic and spherical aberrations to give you high quality images. In addition, the ATX-i 11-16mm CF f/2.8 features a super-low distortion lens at the front that minimizes exposure vignetting and provides low light fall-off for straight lines.

Sharp Images with Excellent Contrast

The lens’ constant f/2.8 aperture produces high resolution images with edge-to-edge sharpness. It also reduces flare and ghosting, while maintaining excellent contrast and color.

One-Touch Focus Clutch Mechanism

Built-in One-Touch Focus Clutch Mechanism allows you to easily switch between auto and manual focusing. In AF mode, you just need to snap the focus ring back toward the camera to engage real manual focus control. The lens gives you an authentic tactile manual focus with hard stops on either side of the focus range. What’s more? The directional rotation of the focus ring matches the direction of proprietary Canon lenses.
