This lens features a Floating Elements Design, which allows constantly high image performance in the focal plane achieved by changing the axial distance between individual lens elements or element groups. The adjustment of the element spacing is coupled to the distance setting so that it always results in the right correction.

ZF.2 Lens

The ZF.2 lens is compatible with all key modes on camera models equipped with an electronic interface. You can easily lock the aperture ring in the largest f-stop shown in orange. For camera models without the electronic interface, the aperture is manually set on the lens aperture ring, and for certain camera models, it is also possible to set in the menu whether the lens should be selected using the setting dial on the camera or the aperture ring on the lens. Note that there is no halfway notch between the largest and second-largest f-stop. The focused distance is not transmitted to the camera body.
