R3D Night Sights are equipped with self-illuminating tritium vials in the front and rear sight. R3D sights are available in an orange color which contrasts the best in bright light. The front sight is also equipped with a proprietary photoluminescent Glow Dot, which offers a high-contrast sight picture in bright light, absorbs ambient light, and glows in low light, providing maximum visibility in all light levels. This means faster target acquisition in any environment. The pairing of these two glowing features ensures the front sight will glow brighter than the rear. The increased illumination and size of the front sight ensures the front dot will not be confused with a rear dot in extreme low-light situations.

Durability

The XS night sights are CNC machined from steel bar stock in the great state of Texas. The steel construction ensures the sights are protected from drops, racking off barricades, and will hold up for years. The steel surface is blued to resist rusting with a regular cleaning and oil schedule. XS R3D sights are chemically resistant to acetone-based cleaning solutions and ultrasonic cleaners. The convex dot is gunpowder residue-resistant and can be easily wiped off with a cleaning cloth.
