Zeiss 8x56 Conquest HD Binoculars (Black)

The 8x56 Conquest HD Binoculars from Zeiss are designed to provide optimal performance in all light and weather conditions. Their performance comes from a combination of extra-low dispersion (ED) glass, and fully multicoated lenses and prisms. The ED glass corrects for chromatic aberration across the entire field of view, ensuring true color transmission with little to no distortion. Taking full advantage of the large 56mm objectives, the lenses have Zeiss' T* anti-reflective coatings, which minimize light loss and maximize the amount of light getting through the optics. The prisms are phase-corrected to increase contrast. These optical coatings and glass produce a binocular that performs well, especially in low-light conditions, with bright high-contrast images and true color transmission across the entire 57-degree wide-angle field of view.

High Definition Lens System

The High Definition (HD) lens concept from Zeiss includes extra-low dispersion (ED) glass elements that evenly transmit the visible spectrum and increase light transmission. Finishing the ED glass with T* multi-layer coatings enables the Conquest HD binocular to render up to 90-percent of available light.

Zeiss T* Multicoated Optics

Zeiss T* coating is a guarantee of the brilliant, high-contrast images­­ which you will experience above all in adverse light conditions and in the twilight. Behind it, however, there is no specific formula for building up the layers. Instead, it is a technology that is constantly adjusted to suit new glass materials and requirements, which varies from lens to lens.

LotuTec Protective Coating

Objective and ocular lenses are coated with a LotuTec moisture/abrasion-resistant coating. This layer causes moisture, including snow and rain to bead up and roll off the lens surface. In addition to reducing lens occlusion, this coating helps prevent debris from sticking to lens surfaces and makes for easier removal of dirt and dust.
