The manual aperture ring has clicked indicators, but it can be de-clicked for smooth, silent transitioning through the aperture range. The Zeiss Milvus 50mm f/1.4 has internal seals to keep out dirt and moisture, making it perfect for operating in harsh environments.

For some camera models, you can even set the menu whether the lens should be selected using the setting dial on the camera or the aperture ring on the lens.
