Polaroid I-2 Instant Analog Camera with Autofocus 3-Lens System and Built-In Manual Controls

Perfection. It’s flawed. And there are those who see right through it. Who embrace the random, the chaos, the uneven. Who know that it’s not about one million photos, but ones that really matter. Who appreciate the tactile pursuit of craft. They are the imperfectionists, and the Polaroid I-2 instant camera is made for them.

For the Imperfectionists

Designed for craft, the Polaroid I-2 is the first analog instant camera with built-in manual controls. Pair it with the sharpest-ever Polaroid lens and the unique chemistry of Polaroid film, and you have an instant craft tool made for the tactile, creative pursuit of analog photography.

Polaroid’s First Analog Instant Camera with Built-In Manual Controls

A Polaroid-first, the I-2 has built-in manual controls. Master your craft with 6 camera modes. Adjust shutter speed, aperture size, camera mode, and see it all through the integrated viewfinder and external display. From depth of field to Bokeh effect to motion blur- it’s all in your hands.

The Sharpest-Ever Polaroid Lens

The I-2 has a continuous autofocus 3-lens system, giving you the sharpest shots of any Polaroid instant camera. Pair it with the I-2’s wider apertures and you’ll create stunning, bright portraits with beautiful depth of field. Do things with Polaroid’s unique film chemistry that you’ve never done before.

Designed for Craft

Engineered and designed for craft, the I-2’s sleek black form is a direct result of its function, with the camera being built around its manual controls and Japanese-designed lens. It’s iconic, yet original. A craftsperson’s tool, in an elegant design.

Next-Level Clarity

The I-2 shoots with next-level clarity and detail on Polaroid’s iconic square frame film, meaning you can do things with Polaroid’s unique film chemistry that you have never done before.

Aperture Up to F8

Control aperture to f8 with light. Experiment with exposure and depth of field with the I-2’s seven different f-stops.

Polaroid Originals Color Instant Film for i-Type Cameras (8 Exposures)

Modern instant cameras need modern films. This Polaroid Color Instant Film Pack includes 8 instant photographs to bring your moment to life in dreamy Polaroid color and finished in that iconic white frame. This color i-Type film is compatible with the OneStep 2, OneStep+, the Polaroid Now, and the Polaroid Lab. It’s battery-free so it won’t work for vintage cameras, but it will work for your budget.

Store Chilled

The fridge is your film’s best friend. Temperature affects how Polaroid film works. To keep your film in shape for shooting, it is recommend being stored in the fridge (not the freezer) and allowing it to reach room temperature (13-28 degree C / 55-82 degree F) before loading it into your camera.

Care for Your Camera

Clean rollers make for clearer photographs. Each Polaroid camera has a set of rollers inside the film door. If these rollers are dirty, the chemistry can’t spread as easily across the film frame. If they look dirty, give them a gentle wipe with a soft, damp cloth.

Shoot with the Light

Whether you’re using natural sunlight or a studio set-up, always shoot with the light behind you, or to your side. If you face the camera into the light, your photos can end up dark and blown out. It is also recommended to always use the flash to get great results — even if it’s a sunny day.

Develop in the Dark

You need light to get the best photograph, but you need darkness to let it work its magic. When you take a photograph, thousands of chemical reactions take place within that small film frame. To get the best result, let your photograph develop face down in a warm area that’s shielded from light.

Polaroid B&W Film for i-Type Cameras

Got a camera? Need film. Polaroid i-Type cameras have their own film: it's battery-free (unlike the standard film for vintage cameras), so it's easier on the wallet. Compatible with the OneStep + and the Now cameras, plus the Polaroid Lab. There are 8 instant photos in every pack.

Store Chilled

The fridge is your movie's best friend. Temperature affects how Polaroid film works. To keep the film fit for recording, we recommend storing it in the refrigerator (not the freezer) and allowing it to reach room temperature (55.4-82.4 degree F / 55-82 degree F) before loading it into the camera.

Care for Your Camera

Clean rollers make photos clearer. Each Polaroid camera has a set of rollers inside the film door. If these rollers are dirty, the chemistry cannot so easily spread across the film frame. If they look dirty, give them a gentle cleaning with a soft, damp cloth.

Shoot with Light

Whether you're using natural sunlight or a studio setting, always shoot with the light behind you or at your side. If you look at the camera in the light, your photos can end up dark and dull. We also recommend always using the flash for excellent results, even on a sunny day.

Develop in the Dark

You need light to get the best picture, but you need darkness for its magic to work. When taking a photograph, thousands of chemical reactions occur within that small film frame. For best results, let your photo unfold face down in a warm area protected from light.
