Canon 15x50 IS All Weather Binocular

The Canon 15x50 IS Binocular delivers truly outstanding optical performance and a well-stabilized, high-magnification view. Whether upon the water's edge or high in the upper deck of a stadium, the 15x50 IS will put you right in the middle of the action. The 15x50 IS binocular's great for big game hunters, spectators of the more distant sports such as surfing, or anyone with a hunkering for incredible pulling power which can actually be observed without a tripod. It is a water resistant design with a tripod socket, to allow for easy mounting to tripods or monopods for extended periods of observation. The 15x50 IS was not designed to be habitually worn around the neck, but if you prefer to carry your optic in this manner then consider a thick neoprene strap instead of the supplied flat woven strap. If you'll be using the binocular in cold weather, it is recommended to use lithium batteries instead of alkaline. The 15x50 IS is threaded to accept 58mm filters, which is convenient for using polarizers around water, but it also means that during extremely bright or humid conditions you can use a pair of 58mm lens hoods to help shield the objective lenses from dew and stray light.

Canon 15x50 IS All Weather Binocular

Canon 15x50 IS All Weather Binocular SKU: 4625A002

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Optical Instrument, a Little Heavy I have owned this 15 x 50 IS All-Weather for a number of years. It is fantastic for star-gazing, bird-watching, sightseeing, and a host of other uses. It is on the heavy side but worth it in most situations. I tend not to travel with it, however, if I am pressed for packing space or weight. I have a more compact and much less expensive set of binoculars for that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You can't go wrong with these Ice been using these 15x50's for about 5 years now. I've never owned a better optical platform. Super versatile... From spotting at the range to viewing the moons of jupiter and everything in between. Better than some Swarovski's.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of my favorite things. Been using these for years, one of my 10 favorite purchases of all time. Stable enough to track objects when sailing and powerful/stable enough to resolve the rings on Saturn. Only complaint is it eats batteries when it's shut off so i either have to pull the batteries when not in use (which i always seem to forget) or bring extra sets. I do wish they were a little more compact/lighter for hiking/backpacking but you can't cheat physics.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great binoculars I considered myself to have very steady hands until I used these binoculars. Night and day. Optics are crystal clear, all the adjustments to your eyes that you may need, and the magnification is awesome. Highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from wonderful binos I've had these for over ten years and though they're an earlier model, the only difference is you don't have to hold down the button to engage the mechanism on the newer models. Otherwise once I engage them, everything in the sky "slows down". They're very clear and enjoyable to use, though a little on the heavy side. The Canon 10 power is lighter, I prefer the 15 power. I've always owned quality optics; IE. Questar telescope, Bausch and Lomb pocket vino's, and these canon's.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Binos! I had my IS 15X50's for nearly a week, and I am happy with them! I am a visual hobby astronomer. All my astronomy gear is two eyed optics. While I have enjoyed my hand held binoculars, my hands have become unsteady over the years. Many of my friends in the astronomy community have showed and recommended the IS binoculars to me. I decided to give the 15X50 IS a try. I was dumbfounded! I really enjoyed it. I took them to recent star party, and used them all night! After focusing and once the image is stable, the view is remarkable. Great flat field, and pinpoint stars. There is no distortion in the FOV, and the eye relief is phenomenal. These binoculars are simply the best!
