You will receive a full refund when you return an item in its original manufacturer’s packaging, undamaged and unmarked. If the item you are returning is priced at less than $35, you will be charged a 15% restocking fee. Please note you will not be refunded any shipping charges.Â

So Far So GoodI just used my Yeti500X for the first time during a week long car camping trip. It stayed charged up just after fulling charging at home and then keeping it charged with the car charging cord and then on site with the solar panel. Mostly used for phone, iPad and heated sleeping pad for a few hours each night. Very pleased with this little power house.

Just in timeI was just telling my husband that since I’ve been preparing for bad wx and power outages, we haven’t lost power. Few days later we had a hail ice storm with nasty winds knocking out power and damaging property. Was great having our new yeti 500x. Thanks again for another wonderful product that keeps us safe.

Shelter in place and/or ready to go.When you need a portable solution for a car evacuation or sheltering in place. The Solar panel is not optimal for weight, but it is excellent value. Bought a second panel and a 12 volt cigarette charger and now feel that I am on the way to an affordable excellent emergency portable solution for California weather hazards.. Don’t forget the 15’ foot 8 mm extension. Not a solution for family home refrigeration but definitely for CPAP users.

Sure came in handyI bought this in preparation for a backwoods camp trip. Before I could use it in that capacity, a major storm left me without power more than 4 days. With my yeti, I had my phone, internet, lights and even hot coffee. So glad I have this.

Yeti power station 500xI purchased this for an upcoming camping trip. The shipping was super fast as I arrived in 2 days. Upon receiving it I fully charged the box and then tested it out a few times so I could get the hang of using it prior to the camping trip. Few hiccups at the start as it would trip the circuit. Took it camping with me and worked perfectly. Air mattress no problem. Charging led lantern, portable speakers, and phones were no issue for it. Overall extremely happy with the purchase.

Great deal with the 500X open boxI can’t say how surprised I was by the quality of the 500 X and it helping me have a good back up power source for my CPAP. The retail price was not in my budget but the open box made it happen. I was surprised that the solar generator looked almost new. Additionally, it was a lot lighter than I thought for that sort of power that I needed. I have many Gold Zero products and you may find other solar generators with better particulars, but no one can out do the quality product and great customer service like Gold Zero.

Portable, easy to use, power in hand.Versatility is convenient and that is what I get from the Yeti 500X. I owned two and when not using then at my camping adventures they are well use in my home office setting. Easy to use, and light to carry around is a nice addition as backup system or main source of power when in the outdoors. I connect 12V ceiling fans to it when working in my shed to power 4 fans, in my home office as a light source and when recharging my phone or power my laptop and printer, in my car camping outings to power lights, fans, recharging, and even to listen to music for long periods. I recharge then using home outlets or with solar panels. What else I can add, the way to go giving you mobility.

This is my 2nd Goal Zero YetiThe first one stopped holding a charge, so i replaced the battery and keep it for backup. That yeti was purchased many years ago, and was not a lithium battery. I purchased this new Yeti because it is a lithium battery. However, after making my purchases I saw that the Yeti 500x only has a 500 cycle lifespan. When compared to Yeti's competitors this is 1/2 of the lifespan of other comparable products. So, I am disapointed that i bought into Goal Zero again because, on paper, this Yeti also will not last long vs its competitors w/ 2x the life.

Yeti 500 (Open Box)I had some hesitation about buying “open box” & when I got it I connected my Boulder Solar Panel to it & it worked without any issues. I checked every ‘outlet’ and all worked as well. If you’re thinking about buying an open box to save some money I would recommend to do it but double/triple check everything out.
I’ve used my Yeti 500 for two weeks straight and didn’t have any problems at all. I love all my GoalZero products.

Disappointed with thisI love Goal Zero products however I’m on my 2nd 500X and the screen is failing, once again. I don’t use this feet hard but it’s expensive and seems to be low quality. I’d recommend looking at cheaper models from other companies, as this is not worth a premium.

Open Box was a bad ideaI had high hopes, but wish I had just paid full price to spare the trouble. I had no expectations regarding little scratches and packaging, but the rear charge port was non-functional and the LCD display had some faded areas. I sent it back, still don't have a replacement unit or real clear idea or confidence what to expect or when. I did try it out to charge it and see what I could charge with it and it seemed to be ok, but overall confidence is low.

Charging problems? Or inconvenience?Bought the 500x in the height of pandemic 2019, used it about a year and the charger went on the friz. Called gold zero and they sent a shipping container for ground. Cannot ship air. Lithium batteries. Any ways, shipped to gold zero. Got it back 3 or 4 weeks later and happy to say I have used it regularly for 2 years now to keep Dometic 55 fridge running in back of 4Runner. Will run light when camping. It will keep fridge cold over night while in hotels on 12v and charges back up12v when on the road. Slick set up. When on the road fridge runs on 120v power outlet. Would love to have a 100w solar panel to keep it charged, but don’t know that I would need it. Overkill. Perfect size for what I do. Battery still charging to 100%. After 2 years of continuous use camping and hotels I am a happy customer. Charging problem was a small inconvenience. Ever went camping and it rains? Inconveniences. Great product Gold Zero. Small package but weak draining batteryI am surprised at how quickly this new goal zero Yeti 500X drains of energy and add in that the battery will not take a full charge (maxes out at 97%) and I am very disappointed in goal zero. My 8 year old Yeti 400 Lithium is well used and power drains from it more slowly the the brand new 500 X. Why'd disappoint me like this. I was a huge fan.

YETI 500X UnreliabilityAs much as I liked the older generation of Goal Zero which I still have several pieces still going strong, I can’t speak well of their new products. I’ve had 2 separate 500X battery packs die on me. The latest one I had for less than 3 months. Goal Zero won’t honor their warranty which sticks me with an expensive brick. Shame on Goal Zero for reducing the quality of equipment. I’ll NEVER buy another Goal Zero product.

Very handy power sourceWe bought one of these and like the portability so much that we bought another on the open box deal. We now have these two and two larger power stations. Using them every day to save on sky rocketing utility bills. And they will be good for camping and power failures in an emergency. Wonderful pieces of equipment!

Worthless!Like the other poor reviews... I have only used this battery only three times and now it won't charge. Unfortunately, I didn't keep the receipt so now I have a very large, expensive paperweight. I will never buy another GoalZero product again. Buyer beware!

Truck Camping with 45 watt fridge.So far so good but we haven’t tested in the real world yet. We bought this for our camping trips when we Boondock in our truck. We tested it inside in 70 degree home to see how long it the battery would last charging our 45 watt fridge. It had to cool the fridge first too. At 12 hours we still had 50% batter left. We haven’t been able to test the solar panel charge of the battery so we will see. Looks like solid construction and we’re looking forward to using soon.
