High-performing Processor

A full-frame BSI CMOS sensor with Triple Resolution Technology lies at the heart of the M11. DNG and JPEG raw picture files can be captured at 60, 36, or 18 megapixels, always using the entire sensor area. The 60-megapixel option provides unrivaled image quality and detail resolution by harnessing the full optical capability of Leica's newest APO Lenses for the M-System, whereas the lesser resolutions allow for faster camera performance, longer burst durations, and smaller files.

Newer Features

A specific IR + UV cut filter made up of two extremely thin, cemented glass layers, achieves a particularly excellent correction of even the most oblique incident light beams. The camera's color reproduction is also better and more natural thanks to a new color filter array.

Ergonomic Controls

The Leica M11's meticulously designed design is focused on economy and ergonomics while keeping the classic look of a traditional Leica M. Next to the 2.3 million pixels high-resolution touchscreen, the controls have been organized in a distinctive manner. The M11's menu structure is identical to that of the Leica SL2 and Q2, bringing the acclaimed UX together for a more user-friendly experience.

Dynamic, Fast, and Responsive

The ISO sensitivity range of the Leica M11 is 64 to 50,000, with a 14-bit color depth and a dynamic range of up to 15 stops. The Leica M11 boasts seamless and quick operation, even at the highest resolution and image quality settings, thanks to its Maestro III processor. Photographers can use wide-open apertures in bright light without using ND filters with the optional electronic shutter, which has a shutter speed of up to 1/166,000 of a second. The M11 is the first camera to offer multi-field metering in rangefinder mode, giving photographers a useful tool to curate light.

Durable and Lightweight

The top plate of the Leica M11 in black has a scratch-resistant coating and is composed of high-quality aluminum. As a result, the body weighs about 20% (100 grams) less than its silver-chrome counterpart, which weighs 540 grams.
