The Tamron 70-180mm F/2.8 Di III VC VXD G2 for Sony E-Mount is a compact and lightweight telephoto zoom lens compatible with Sony E mount. Featuring VC Image Stabilization, this new G2 lens boasts Tamron’s proprietary VC (Vibration Compensation) mechanism. It features the maneuverability of a class-leading compact size and weight to enable its user the freedom to shoot in versatile locations with added stability. The revamped optical design helps achieve rich-quality images across an entire zoom range. The MOD has been shortened to 11.8 inch at its wide-end compared to its previous 33.5 inch MOD in the first generation. The new 70-180mm zoom features VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) linear motor focus mechanism to deliver high-speed, and accurate auto-focusing that can be seen in both still and video photography.
