Vortex Spitfire 1x Prism Scope (DRT MOA Reticle)

The Vortex Spitfire 1x Prism Scope (DRT MOA Reticle) delivers exceptional image quality and balanced color and light transmission for high definition true-color images. The lenses are fully multi-coated with anti-reflection coatings for maximum light transmission and minimum glare. The Spitfire has five levels of brightness settings with red and green illumination to match your moment perfectly. While most red dot and holographic sights will show signs of parallax, this illuminated prism scope is virtually parallax free.

DRT MOA Reticle

The Spitfire 1x Prism Scope contains the DRT (Dual-Ring) Reticle that is etched directly on the prism to ensure consistent point-of-aim at all times. It was designed for rapid shooting at close distances. With the DRT Reticle targets can be quickly centered within the dual rings while you use the center dot for a more precise aiming point. The Spitfire red or green illuminated crosshair has a maximum windage adjustment level and maximum elevation adjustment level of 120 MOA that was carefully designed for optimum balance between precision aiming and light visibility.

Durable Build

Constructed in a compact and lightweight single-piece aluminum chassis to withstand recoil and impact, the Spitfire Prism Scope is rugged and durable. A tough ArmorTek exterior coating protects against scratches, oil, and dirt while Nitrogen gas purging creates a dustproof and shockproof body. The Vortex Spitfire has an operating temperature between -22 to 122-degree-F so that your rifle and scope can last through anything life throws at you. The prism scope features an extra-long battery life so you can keep going as long as it takes. An integrated mount quickly attaches to any Picatinny rail.

Returns

Returns are incredibly simple. Please log into your account, find your item you wish to return and follow the prompts to make a return. If you do not have an account, click here to find your order and make a return.
You will receive a full refund when you return an item in its original manufacturer’s packaging, undamaged and unmarked. If the item you are returning is priced at less than $35, you will be charged a 15% restocking fee. Please note you will not be refunded any shipping charges. 
You have 30 days to make a return. During the holiday season, from November 1 to December 31, we extend the return window to 60 days. 
If your order has been noticeably damaged in transit, we strongly recommend that you refuse delivery and notify us immediately. Claims for missing items or items damaged in transit must be made within 48 hours of delivery. If there is carrier damage, please contact [email protected] with your order number and a description of the damage.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Incredible Consistency Reliability: I have yet to replace the battery for this optic after several outings. The etched reticle allows operation without the optic turned on, but limits the operation of the optic in low-light conditions. Each time I have take it to the range, it has held its zero very well - only requiring minor adjustments to account for variations in temperature (Temp Range of 20 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit). Close Quarters: If you are looking for an optic that performs well in close-range environment (<100 yards), then you'll find it here. The glass is incredibly clear and transmits light effectively, and the reticle as well as the height over bore out of the box facilitate rapid target acquisition; however there is mild distortion from the lens that can take some getting used to. Long Range: I would love to add a magnifier so that I can speak from experience on its longer range capabilities, but I need to modify my rifle before doing so. I prefer a more precise reticle for long-range shooting, but I believe this optic provides the necessary level of accuracy to be effective if longer range shooting is required. Given its intended platform and purpose, I wouldn't recommend this optic for a shooter who intends to regularly stretch the limits of their range. Summary: The Spitfire is a remarkably consistent optic that holds a zero and boasts impressive battery life. Designed for close-quarters shooting, it excels in this area with a well-designed reticle and comfortable shooting position.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spitfire for Duty Use I choose this reticle because it has etched glass as well as the illuminated options. During the day time, the black reticle is perfect and the green/red is not needed. At night the green/red is great but is not to bright. My department also uses the sig sauer optics which are too bright and are much larger MOA. I am a range instructor for my department and the other instructors agree this a great product. The etched reticle is also nice since batteries tend to die at the worst time. While others may no longer function this works perfectly still. I choose to purchase a reticle because after shooting irons and an acog with the marines, I prefer a scope. I have had this optic for about two years and it has held a zero in the back of my patrol vehicle just fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top tier AR Optic! As an embedded tactical paramedic with a tier 1 SWAT team I rely on a quality optic for my primary service firearm. The crystal clear reticle is quick to acquire and the multiple levels of illumination enhance low light and NVG use. This optic has provided me with the clearest sight picture given my astigmatism and the quick setup with 5.56 BDC turret is an awesome feature. Novice and pro shooters alike will appreciate this optic. Battery life is fantastic and I appreciate that Vortex uses a AAA battery that matches my tac lights. I only have to carry one type of battery. Well done Vortex!
