Gretsch Jim Dandy Deltoluxe Parlor 6-String Acoustic Guitar with C-Shape Neck (Black Top)
The Grestch Jim Dandy series draws inspiration from the ‘Rex’ instruments originally offered by mail-order catalog in the 1930s, ‘40s and ’50s. It beautifully portrays the charm associated with flat-top guitars from Gretsch that were super comfortable to play and delivered the best-in-class tones. The Gretsch Jim Dandy 6-String Deltoluxe Parlor Acoustic Guitar has a portable and petite parlor body shape with a 24-inch short scale. These guitars are well known for their throaty midrange and accurate tonal clarity. The wood used for the body, top, back, and sides of the guitar is laminated sapele. For a well-balanced look, the X-bracing patterns of the wood strips have been designed with selected lightweight laminate tonewoods. Having a Nato C-shape neck, the guitar’s neck has a semi-glossy finish. This parlor acoustic guitar has a 12-inch walnut fingerboard. There are 18 vintage frets (12 to the body) with white pearloid dot position inlays. For producing a better tone, synthetic bone is used in the nut of the guitar. The single-action truss rod helps with string adjustment. The Gretsch Deltoluxe features a 1-ply tortoiseshell pickguard and soundhole pickup special electronics. The guitar hardware has a nickel-finish and the guitar features a classic black top finish.
