The TAMA Mastercraft Artwood Snare Drum was originally introduced in the year 1980. It became popular soon after for not just its sonic capabilities, but also for its stunning look. To mark its 50th anniversary celebrations, TAMA has reissued this iconic snare drum in limited quantities. The all-birch 9mm and 6-ply shell features a multi-section contrasting colored center wood inlay with the Superstar drum badge that gives it its unique look. The carefully designed snare drum boasts of possessing TAMA’s unique Roller Action Strainer, an innovative full-contact (extended) snare wire design. This design features a single on and off lever with dual guide rollers. This helps in easy adjustment. Some notable hardware features include the 10 original lug design, die-cast hoops, and an internal tone control. This drum delivers the classic deep punch and the 14 by 6.5-inch dimensions allows it to deliver a swift attack topped with a crisp and sensitive response.
