The Sigma 100-400mm 5-6.3 DG HSM OS Contemporary is a telephoto zoom that brings a new level of portability and quality to the super telephoto market. Touting Sigma’s Optical Stabilizer (OS), the Sigma 100-400mm f/5-6.3 Contemporary is highly compact and lightweight compared to similar products on the market. A push/pull zooming function and a new Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) allow for a more responsive approach to photography while a 1:3.8 macro feature can be utilized from up close or from a further distance. The Optical Stabilizer also benefits handheld shooting by minimizing the appearance of camera shake for sharper imagery. The brass bayonet mount also offers rigidity and mounting precision.

AF Speed and Optical Stabilizer Modes

For all lines of lenses, there are four categories for prime lenses and 16 categories (four options for focal length, four options for shooting distance) for zoom lenses available. These categories allow you to set up certain focusing settings to better suit your personal shooting style. If using a Sports line lens, additional lens configurations are also available. The dock features three different AF speed modes to modify how quickly the lens changes focus. You can also constrain focus distances within a specific range to suit your personal shooting habits.
