Sigma’s fp is one of smallest and lightest mirrorless digital camera featuring a back-illuminated 35mm full-frame Bayer sensor with 24.6 effective megapixels capability. It can capture high-resolution still and moving images with edge-to-edge sharpness. Its lightweight die-cast aluminum body ensures superior robustness and heat dissipation. A heat dissipation coating applied to the outer surface combined with a large-size heat sink mounted between the LCD and camera body prevents overheating at high temperatures or in long hours of use. Designed for harsh environments, the Sigma fp comes with dust- and splash-proof sealing that ensures worry-free shooting in challenging conditions like rain and sandstorms. Also included with the camera is a Sigma 45mm f/2.8 Contemporary DG DN lens.
Full-Time Electronic Shutter
The Sigma fp digital camera employs a full-time electronic shutter that improves the camera’s capability of capturing a variety of shooting scenes with quiet shooting that might not be possible with a mechanical shutter. With this noiseless clicking feature, you can easily shoot in quiet environments where any shutter sound might create disturbance.
Highly Intuitive UI for Different Shooting Modes
Features the same distinctive features like dials and QS (Quick Set) buttons as other Sigma cameras, the Sigma fp comes with a highly intuitive UI that lets you switch between full-fledged still and video shooting modes at the flip of a switch. Each of these modes (Still and Cine) comes with a specially designed operation system and displays for stress-free shooting.
Teal and Orange Color Mode
Inspired by the color grading technique commonly used in Hollywood films, this mirrorless camera features a Teal and Orange color mode. Create highly vibrant and deeply dramatic visuals by adjusting the strength of orange and teal color effects using a simple effect slider in color mode menu. The slider offers up to 11 levels to choose from -5 to +5. This color gradient feature is available in both the Still and Cine modes.
Tone Control Mode
The Sigma fp employs an in-camera tone curve adjustment function using a Tone Control mode alo9ng with Fill Light, a special adjustment function previously only found in Sigma Photo Pro image development software. The Fill Light feature lets you adjust the brightness of an image by adding extra light energy into the shadow regions without altering the exposure of highlight regions. This feature is perfect for scenes which have areas that cannot be adjusted via exposure adjustment settings. Dedicated Tone and Color buttons allow for quick access to the tone control and color mode menus.
HDR Shooting
This shooting modes takes advantage of the camera’s electronic shutter to capture multiple pictures of different exposures at once. It can capture three frames for still photography and two frames for videos. Later, these shots can be merged into a single picture or video producing high-contrast images with sharp detailing that cannot be achieved in normal shooting.
Face/Eye Detection AF
The Face/Eye Detection AF function allows the full frame camera to focus automatically on the eyes of a human subject. This feature is perfect for shooting portraits using a large-diameter lens with a shallow depth of field.
Focus Peaking
Designed to help focusing the lens manually, the focus peaking function highlights the edges of the parts of a scene that are in focus in a particular color.
Cinemagraph Feature for Creating GIFs
Sigma fp Camera lets you create animated GIFs, a hybrid between still photography and video, by using the Cinemagraph function. Use this function to create unique imagery where parts of a still image keep moving, in-camera.
Easy to Handle Design
The Sigma fp comes with 1/4-inch threads for attaching a strap holder on either side of the body or tripod mounting for portrait or landscape orientation.

It comes with Super Multi-Layer Coating on lens surface that significantly reduces flare and ghosting that help produce sharp and high contrast images even in backlit conditions. The lens’ 7-blade rounded diaphragm creates an attractive blur in the out-of-focus areas of the image.
